    Pros +

    • The property was wonderful, especially the lounge staff, front desk and housekeeping
    • The GM - Willis Bar Manager, the gorgeous quality of the rooms, design, location.
    • Great location! Close to everything we wanted to do in Asheville. The room was clean, nicely decorated. We loved the nespresso. The staff was amazing! They went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay.

    Cons -

    • Yes. The breakfast situation was completely unacceptable. We had 2 rooms/2 nights. The morning we left my daughters went down for breakfast. It took almost an hour to get food and wait staff was rude
    • There is so much. Granted we were there during the Hurricane Helene, however the sheer lack of respect, humanity, of the hotel staff, the front desk staff, the lack of compassion and experience was clearly evident and unique to this hotel.
    • The restaurant at the hotel clearly is having staffing issues. Food is good but service was exceptionally slow. Hardly saw our server all night and waited a good 90 min for our meal.

In a city where service is not a priority, the foundry goes above and beyond to make sure any of your needs are met.

The restaurant at the hotel clearly is having staffing issues. Food is good but service was exceptionally slow. Hardly saw our server all night and waited a good 90 min for our meal.

There was not enough hot water for a warm shower. The second floor smelled of gas.

loved the historical blending with modern hotel facilities and convenience to downtown restaurants and shopping.

great hotel.. I generally do not prefer valet parking, but only option available.

Wilson the bartender was great and so were the waitstaff at the Refinery restaurant the next morning!

    Great location and cleanliness

HotelCouldn’t find my reservation which put a damper on the check in process. We went for my wife’s bday and this was a surprise trip for her. After 20 minutes at the front desk, we finally checked in when I was able to get in touch with booking.com support and played middle man for support and the hotel staff

I like that the location was in short walking distance from restaurants and shopping. Bed was very comfortable. Nice lounge area.

Did not care for the room "spritzing" with fragrance. The first night the frangrance was overpowering and uncomfortable and took me longer to fall asleep.

    9JakePosted on: 8-5-2024

Staff was great. Super friendly and informed on the history of the buildings

AC went out across the hotel for one day and our window had a small leak, both of which staff apologized for and took care of as soon as possible

    9LindaPosted on: 5-22-2024

The breakfast was excellent. I had the yoghurt parfait—fresh berries..

There was no mention of lattes on the menu. I had a regular coffee then overheard someone ordering a latte and had coffee envy.

A Great Location. the room was beautiful. Extra comfortable bed. The staff couldn't have been better or more helpful. Loved that they provided bottled water every day. ANd the room had a tea kettle in addition to the Nespresso maker, Nice!
