Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown

The location

The bed was awful! I felt like I was sleeping on the ground. The bed was super stiff and the pillows were way to soft. Also checking out, the host was not the nicest.

Hotel employee was so INCREDIBLY kind and gracious, allowing us to use the conference room to film a short video for a client.

Not sure if I can blame the hotel, but I forgot my kindle reader on the bed. The staff stated they have not found it; odd, as it's not a small device. Lesson learned. Double check the room, then recheck it, and then check again before you leave.

Location, pricing, and room size.

The ice machine was kind of loud in regards to being heard while inside your room. Emergency vehicles were loud throughout the day however that could be a positive factor meaning they are close in proximity if an emergency were to take at the hotel.

Location, staff, cleanliness.

Ran out of some breakfast items at 8.30 am. Did not know there was a charge for parking. Not enough cookies.

Good location. Very clean

Road noise travels through the window unit which is noticeable at night. The police station and fire department are downtown which is the only downside I saw with the location.

Location and outdoor pool.

Was not pleased with our experience with the Pillar bar. My husband went up at 9:40 for a drink and bartender cited last call was made few mins ago and turned him away. Poor service.

It's beautiful and the rooms are spacious. The staff was super friendly and accommodated our entire group to have our rooms near one another (we booked separately).

Is not downtown in the thick of everything but the walk is very short and Uber/Lyft drivers are plentiful!

location and shuttle service around town which was especially nice because of rainy weather

Room was a little dirty on move in. Some weird gunk by the window and toilet had spots.

Friendly staff, amazing view from the rooftop bar, cheap parking and a shuttle service that will take you anywhere downtown

Our faucet for our sink was broken and wouldn't turn on hot water.

Not once, but 2 different times, the entire fire alarm system went off at 7 am as well as 10 am. As people vacationing, we prefer to sleep in, so we were a bit annoyed--especially being that the cause was "burnt toast". Staff did not offer any apology.

Pool small and located on ground level next to parking lot.

Hotel was fairly new. The location was walking distance to downtown Asheville attractions. Staff was friendly and attentive. Parking was easy and abundant. I would certainly consider this hotel again.

Couple of things. There was no hot tub on premises and the water pressure in the shower was extremely poor.

The mattress was the loudest squeakiest bed I?ve ever slept on in my life! Every single little movement it squeaked so I didn?t sleep very well.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location to downtown was great!

The waitress was super nice

The breakfast was just eatable and cost was high. I was on the 5th floor. I was gone from 7am until 3pm working. When I got back room service had not come. They didn’t make it to that floor until 3:30. There were two small trash cans in the room. Only one had a bag. Also I was on the side gassing the road and I heard sirens all night. Also. There is no smoking area. I was told it was all the way around the front of the building. There was no but bucket. So I walked back and forth in the rain. There was nowhere to sit. On the last morning I saw the but bucket beside the pool door. If that’s the smoking area. Not only is there to where to sit. But it’s not even covered and out of the weather

The meeting facilities were excellent

The ergonomics of the room were awkward. If you open the bathroom door you could not walk past in the hall. The fridge opened the opposite of the cabinet toward the wall. No freezer. The bathroom was tiny and hard to maneuver.
