    Pros +

    • location was excellent for my requirements, very clean
    • The bed was comfortable, and the food for room service was fantastic. Also, the employees at the front desk and the bar, as well as those working the party I attended were all very friendly and wonderful.
    • The location was perfect, the valets were great.

    Cons -

    • lounge closed at 11 pm and could not get a spare roll away bed
    • The front desk person who checked us in was rude, and the room was small for being "deluxe".
    • It is unfortunate that, during COVID-related financial challenges, the St Paul Grill on the first floor ended dine-in breakfast service. I hope this can be restored.

    Its location and history.

Fancy hotel in a sort of old-fashioned way. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful property.

They charged me for bottled water even though I did not take any bottled water. We used an ice bucket and tap water. I called the hotel and they took care of it and removed the charge. But housekeeping needs to be more accurate about that.

The valet and desk people were great! And the room was charming.

    that the restaurant wasn't open

It is a great old hotel and we had a room facing Rice Park and the holiday lights were fantastic. The staff were also excellent and able to accommodate all of our needs.

    Quiet. Convenient valet parking..

Staff could be more personable, but they were definitely professional.

The service from staff was at the top of the echelon and the room along with the entire hotel was beautiful and historic!

    I can't think of anything.

We were only there for one night but they took care of us

The extra to pay for parking but the fact that we could get to our car or be taken anywhere we wanted to go was amazing

    Historic, fancy, location.

    Wish they had a pool

Thought the fee to park overnight $30 was a bit high for the market (St. Paul) and then not enough staff in AM to get car so we waited about 15 minutes.

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION The staff was very helpful and polite.

Not very many amenities. I would like free breakfast. Access to my vehicle once parked would be nice too.

    Historical charm, excellent staff.

Don't pick up anything off the refreshment bar!!! It automatically charges you!!

    Nice hotel, rooms, and location.

Some staff were surly, message system incomprehensible; for a "Landmark" the hotel was a disappointment. They claim 4 stars but they are more like a way overpriced 3.

Excellent decor, very clean and great service!

    9Verified Hotel GuestPosted on: 8-16-2016

Everything in the hotel is beautiful and tasteful. Our room was great, bed was comfortable, loved the robes.

One of the elevators was out of order, we mostly used the service elevators to get up and down. We were not particularly impressed with the staff. They were adequate, not really cordial. Pokemon players outside at night were creepy.

Very friendly staff. Top-notch accommodations. Excellent location in the heart of St. Paul.

    Convenience to Wilkins auditorium

It was not as nice as I expected. The room was average. Bedding average hard bed.

Beautifully maintained historic hotel in quiet downtown St Paul. Very clean and quiet rooms

Need a regular fridge and expensive snacks.
