Located off Interstate-35, this downtown Owatonna hotel is a 1-hour drive from Minneapolis. It features rooms with a flat-screen cable TV and serves a light breakfast. A microwave and fridge are standard in every simply furnished room at the Valu Stay Inn. All warmly decorated rooms include a telephone and carpeted floors. Free access to the game room, which includes billiards and table tennis, is provided to all guests of the Valu Stay Inn. Parking is free on site. Brooktree Golf Course and Owatonna College are both an 8-minute drive from the hotel.

- nothing great. convenient to freeway. I guess I got what Ipaid for at $---

- Affordable, location, clean.
Cons -
- Did not appreciate the attendant taking my drivers license and recording a copy of it. Never had this happen at any other hotel in which I have stayed. Others ask for it to verify identity and then hand it back wothout taking a copy. . No wi-fi.i
- Color of the rooms.
- We were unable to watch the roku channels and tv shuts off on its own after about 1 hr. We had to turn on the roku to even turn on the tv. The toilet was way too loud when flushing. The steps to get to the room were very steep for older people.
