    Every aspect was very good.

    No air ventilation in bathroom.

    8Jerry A.Posted on: 9-11-2025

They did not offer a breakfast and unfortunately, the only place in town to get any kind of breakfast is a small convenience store across the street from the motel and that is very limited

The room was actually very nice except the exhaust fan in the bathroom was very noisy.

Location was near Walnut Grove, our purpose for visiting the area. Owner was very nice.

    Very outdated.

A cute, quaint older (retro feel) hotel that has been given modern touches and amenities. Right off the highway for easy access, and just 10 miles from the famous “Little House on the Prairie” Walnut Grove! Managers are a super nice couple!

Food/restaurant options are very limited and aren’t close by.

Basic and simple but clean, nice staff.

The owner clearly cares about the property and is making regular improvements. In the last couple of years, fresh paint has appeared everywhere. This year, there were new stocked Kurig-style coffee makers in each room. Always the highest standards of cleanliness, nice sheets, and comfy beds. The owner even hand-delivered a salt and pepper shakers to our grillout at the picnic tables on the grass out front.Don't expect the Ritz Carlton and you'll be wonderfully surprised by Lamberton's little Motel.

Quaint small town motel. We were treated well and the room was clean and well set up. It isn't fancy but it was very comfortable and enjoyable

We were having TV problems and Drew had it taken care of quickly. II like the softness of the mattress, it was so cozy feeling.

I didn't like leaving my key in an open basket when I left. Anyone can come in for a cup of coffee, grab a key, open a room and steal anything, and you would be blamed

    Very clean. Comfortable beds.

It’s an older basic style but that’s reflected in the price.

Very clean and Duvhral was very nice. Beds were comfortable. Older motel, however that’s what keeps traveling Westward so interesting. Simple, affordable and clean!

    No complaints

We stayed at OYO Hotel Lamberton while we were driving out West and stopped in Minnesota to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. Since there are not many alternatives in the region, we felt lucky that OYO Hotel had vacancies. We were nicely received by the receptionist and the rooms fulfilled our needs: they were cleaned, well-equipped, and overall functional.

This is a simple motel, so I am not going to criticize anything you shouldn't expect from such accommodation. Don't expect any frills and you will be happy with your stay.

Close to Laura Ingalls Wilder attractions.

Would have liked breakfast options. There were no vendors even.

    7ThomasPosted on: 6-28-2024

    Decent price. Clean enough

Didn’t quite match the online pictures

Great location if you plan on visiting Walnut Grove. Fairly clean, polite staff, and comfortable beds.

The only issue was our television didn't work.

    9PetersenPosted on: 11-20-2023

Beds are quite comfortable, rooms are always clean and the location is great for visiting our family.

Not much. The bathroom could use a little updating, but still not bad yet.

Perfect place to stay for a night during a road-trip. Clean, comfortable, convenient.

Because of the heavy rain, some rain drops found a way through the roof to the bathroom.

With the coupon/discount we got, it was fairly affordable. It would have been way overpriced at the listed price. It's a basic drive-up motel that seems mostly frequented by construction workers. It's newly painted and there's interesting art on the walls. None of it matched but it led to a kind of fun vibe. The red and white color scheme is kind of cool. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the extra pillows.

The "continental breakfast" is a little shelf with stuff like pop tarts and Little Debbies. I would have expected a lower price for it being such a basic drive-up motel in a town with nothing in it, but maybe all motels have skyrocketed in price? Also, the Wifi was not working during our stay, which was very inconvenient.
