Hampton Inn Port Huron

The staff was so attentive and friendly. Room and common areas were clean.

Pool heater was broken which was disappointing. Bathtub was very slippery, but we were provided a rubber bath mat within minutes.

Hotel employee was great at the front desk

Definitely needs updating for the price - mattress, furniture, bathroom, also bathroom had paint peeling on ceiling.

Can't say sine I didn't get to stay. My reservation was canceled by the hotel before I arrived

They lied. I called to tell them I would have a very late check in due to traffic. They said it was OK but canceled my reservation anyway. Ended up sleeping in my car for 3 days.

Location is what I was looking for

The hotel staff was rude and room is extremely loud at night. Impossible to sleep

Room service was only every 4 days. Shower in other room was very LOUD! Pet fees are expensive

Near the beach, restaurants, shopping, very comfortable beds, staff was so courteous, great breakfast.

Location is the only thing this hotel has.

The room smells bad. The morning breakfast was not great... Even the coffee was weak.

Breakfast buffet. Amenities in room (microwave, fridge, ample outlets)

Toilet in room barely flushed. Tiles on floor were literally coming up. Pillows were uncomfortable.

Upon arrival front desk staff was less than friendly and engaging..had no interest or willingness to help us find a restaurant. Old and tired.

The staff were very accoomodating. The food was good and the place was exceptionally clean.

The pool area was very nice and empty which was awesome because my girlfriend and I were chillen in the hot tub

My window view was of a wall. So that sucked but nobody's fault really

There were a couple of deficiencies in the bathroom which I told the clerk about on checkout.

Location

Paper thin walls and ceiling, space between the room door and and door frame. Light coming in from the hallway. Sound like the people in the room above us were coming through the ceiling until 3 am. No sound barriers

Location to the US / Canadian border was nice.

This hotel was under renovation.. The refrigerator in the room did not work properly. I asked the staff about the refrigerator and was informed that our floor had just been reopened and was "pieced" back together. Should be better after renovation.

The staff was very accommodating and polite.

There was noise from workers right outside our window but the staff moved us to a different room. That was very agreeable. Only thing really wrong was the sheets on the bed came off the mattress as soon as I sat down.

The third floor, where we stayed, was very quiet. Helped us to get a good night's sleep.

After 9:00pm, waited at the front desk from some time to get some help.

Rooms seemed recently updated, nice furniture and bathroom countertops. Bed and pillows were comfortable, and sheets were clean.

The walls were very thin, so it was easy to hear things in the hall, next door rooms, and walking upstairs. The doors closed very quickly and made a loud bang when closing. Would recommend installing hinges that allow the doors to close more quietly.
