North Ironwood Acres - Black River Lodge

The setting for the hotel was quiet and serene. It was not right in town so there was not the noise from the hustle and bustle you get from being in town. The hotel had that small town feel and the owners were awesome.

Room and bathroom were very small and not worth the price charged.

it was quaint and natural located near a real good restaurant.

The bed was a little uncomfortable, but I will still come back.

I liked that they had several things for families to do on premise (bags, food all. Pickleball, etc.

The AC unit was very old and falling apart. With the strong rains, rain leaked in through the roof at night on my phone. I did wake up and moved my phone so no damage was done.

Friendly and laid back. Beautiful walk on the property that lead back to the Black River.

Refrigerator was loud. But there were two rooms. We slept in the quiet one.

The innkeeper was accusing myself and my Mother of fraud during check in because my Mom paid for my room in advance with absolutely stellar credit card and the inn keeper was all ready paid by credit card company but rudely implying this was fraud because my mom was not present at time of check in!! Even though all the guest info was correct she continued to slander my family!

Owners were friendly and helpful! Quiet, clean and really nice place! Can’t wait to go back!

Needs updating and was told to be out by 10am, when the website and all the other info said checkout at 11am. Someone needs a vacation.

Bkfst not included, but had great selection of kuerig cups, comfortable lounge, board games available. Great young couple owners, good advice on restaurants and activities

We did not spend the night there because the owner was so rude from the minute she opened the door.

The property was advertised nothing like it really is. We pulled into a gravel parking lot that was totally empty. We were not aware of the time change, & the owner greeted us rudely when we arrived before check in time. Her behavior

1. I get the front staff mad because my card didn't have numbers. 2. I asked for a room on the main floor. she replied, you booked with booking .com who get that room. I came in with a neck brace and a leg brace. she didn't care. Not friendly with pets and not impressed. I won't stay here again.

Game room, 2 bathrooms in the room, the set up of was nice, quite place to relax, waterfalls were near by. We were asked how our stay was. The owners live on the property so if you need anything they can help. The owner was very helpful in telling us where to eat and what to do.

The beds were hard, the hallway was extremely hot but the room was cool. No breakfast for the price but we were site seeing the town anyways

Very convenient location, close to the Porcupine Mountains and on the Black River NationalScenic Byway. The owners are very kind and helpful.
