Clean room and very friendly staff. Continental breakfast for good also.This is an INN,not a hotel.

From the welcome desk to the second floor requires walking a full set of stairs. I was fine with it.People should be aware though.

The antique Victorian decor and the room price. was on the city bus line, near restuarants and shopping.

Homeless people were all around the property made the stay very uncomfortable

We liked the character of the old building, the sweet front desk person and that they provided everything we needed to be comfortable, including a nice continental breakfast.

Room was clean and cost was low. Had to share a bathroom but that was fine. It was a 12 minute walk to State Theatre on Congress street

Older hotel with "character" is precisely as advertised, very good location, very good value (including on-site parking at no additional charge)- and with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I would gladly return without hesitation.

Clean and efficient single room, friendly staff, lovely touches, free breakfast, great price, close to airport. You can tell that there is care in this privately-owned Inn. This is exactly what I was looking for last minute. Would highly recommend!

There are plenty of stairs, if that is an issue for you.

It¿s location is excellent and being the oldest hotel in Portland was an interesting experience.

The only negative feedback I have the stairs , they are narrow and there are a lot of them.

Such a beautiful building; with kind, wonderful, helpful staff! It had one of the most comfortable beds, out of the 6 places I stayed on my roadtrip vacation. The room was lovely, charming & oh so comfortable. Complimentary snacks, coffee & cider a plus!

I can see how the stairs could be too challenging & off putting for some people. They were quite narrow & steep. However, the staff did an excellent job at notifying in advance & reiterating the "shared bathroom" arrangement on the floor I booked.

Absolutely delightful experience! Felt like we walked into a storybook- beautiful paintings, lamps, and decor. Breakfast was delicious, bed was comfortable, shower/water pressure was good, and staff were so helpful! LOVED our stay here!

We were on the 3rd floor, and there is no elevator because it is a historic building. Be prepared for a lot of stairs (totally worth the stay if you're able-bodied, but unfortunately not accessible).

The location, the availability of free parking and the fact that it's DOG FRIENDLY!

I may not have been paying attention to what I sign up for but 3 levels on narrow staircase would be too much for many seniors. Also had concerns about no readily identifiable fire escape.

The staff was magnificent. They were super attentive, accommodating, and warm. The hotel is a Charming hodgepodge of architectural styles that somehow comes together into a unique but attractive experience.

Courteous and professional staff. Walking distance to downtown. Everything you might need for your trip is within walking distance. Very clean hotel.

The shared bathroom was odd but I was aware ahead of time so it wasn¿t a surprise.

Quiet, friendly helpful staff, small amenities like always having drinks and snacks and filtered water available. It had a very homey feel .
