Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Waterfront

I love this hotel , All the staff were amazing (thank you Bea for your great assistance). The room was comfortable . I will always stay there when I come to Portland.

The wifi is horrible and the food options were good but it would be best to change it up some instead of having the same breakfast everyday.

Great location. Nice, quiet and clean room.

Awful lobby and entrance

This hotel was in a great location for what we were in town for. Near the waterfront and the Old Port. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also good, with a good variety of options.

Boldly damp ground floor unit with a noisy dehumidifier going non stop.

The property is very family oriented. There are many families staying there. It has a wonderful included breakfast with many quality options. It has a comprehensive fitness center. However some of the equipment needs to be serviced. The location is convenient to downtown but still off the main drag which makes it quieter. One complaint: I paid for a room with a harbor view, but did not get one. The term itself is misleading because the harbor is so blocked by buildings and far enough away that I am not sure a higher floor would help. The hotel took $20 off my bill ( $10 for each night) to compensate me but this was not satisfactory. They also took 1 night of parking ($35) off the bill for the lack of a harbor view and their inability to change my room to try to provide a view. Instead, I was looking out at telephone lines, electrical equipment and the street.

room very clean. nice to have a kitchenette & sofa. Location was good, easy access to areas of interest but not in the middle of a noisy area.

poor lighting bedside & overall. Tight space around bed & into bathroom while big space in kitchen. Morning breakfast was a zoo. Too limited space for the number of rooms. There was a fragrance in the common area and main lobby that was too strong & affected my allergies. I had to wear a mask. Parking lot information was poor, how to access, etc.

Breakfast was with a lot of good and healthy selections. Clean amenities, large fridge and microwave, large room. The room with double bed has a nice set up. Has a parking garage separate to the building of the hotel. Friendly staff. Walking distance to Old Port.

The carpets are old and as soon as you walk in, there is this overwhelming fabric scent that's also overwhelming while having breakfast. The furniture on the lobby are old and the leathers don't nt have shine on them anymore, the seats have old fabrics that it's not very inviting to sit down on them. Carpets and furnitures need updating.

The rooms were spacious and clean

The breakfast area was second rate - dirty and untidy and below average. No one had cleaned up after others had used the area - food on the floor, tables a mess.

Excellent location and friendly staff. Breakfast was above average. Appreciated the complimentary upgrade but the room was a little musty. Other than that, wonderful time and will be coming back.
