Courtyard by Marriott Silver Spring Downtown

Location was excellent, right downtown. It was within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, entertainment, farmers market, and plenty of parking.

No microwave in room without upgrading.

The very cold a/c was the only thing that stood out to me.

The constant use of keycards for elevators. The way you have to drive all the way to the 5th floor of the parking garage to enter the hotel. No free breakfast. Very small and basic.

Rooms were very old. Needs to be updated. Temperature control wasn?t good.

Hotel has no parking of its own. Uses county garage. A window in my car was smashed. Hotel takes no responsibility.

False advertising

TV did not work. Hotel controlled the A/C on a 90 deg day and it was so hot inside. Literally nothing as bathroom accessories.

I loved the location and free parking on weekends. The overall feel of the building and rooms was great

Beds are too firm. This seems to be a common comment on booking apps. Go to the garage adjacent and to the 5 floor first to check in. Don¿t try to do it from the street.

The location was amazing. The staff were friendly and the hot breakfast hit the spot

I didn't really liked how much room window was facing another that was short and overlooking its roof. With 2 buildings building the view, it made the room dark and felt damp

When I walked into my hotel room, it looked and felt clc very clean. It was in a great location; near restaurants and transportation.

The shower rod is a strange shape so the shower curtain does not run the length of the tub. A wider curtain could solve the problem. The handicap bar is on the wrong end of the tub. It is difficult to climb out with the toilet right there. A design flaw?

Staff engaged, helpful when questions surfaced. Décor of room , while somewhat neutral, was pleasant and upscale. Bedding comfortable, with ample towels and related items. Electronics (as with TV) current and worked well.

Given costs and related factors, lack of inclusion of even a minimal breakfast a negative, as was the limited menu / cost for the one in-house "bistro" option. Parking in the adjacent public garage, while free for the weekend, added to overall charges.

The staff was great, and the hotel was CLEAN !!! Comfortable bed !

Key card needed for the elevator.

The entry to the hotel, and need to wait for the one elevator to the first floor is an odd set up. attempted to take the steps one day to leave the building and ended up going through a maze to exit the building out to an alley.

The free parking on the weekend.

They did not clean my room on Saturday. I informed the front desk Sunday before I departed. The lady only said she was sorry and she would inform the cleaning crew. At most hotels, they would offer a voucher or reduced the price although I was not looki

All staff was professional and excellent customer service. Original was focused on DC properties but so happy we selected this location. Accessible to DC and everything we wanted to do. Great experience

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Staff was nice and accommodating. Someone was literally smoking in the room next door and they quickly moved us without question, plus gave us coupons for the restaurant. Their food is amazing!

There was/is some sketchy business going on in Silver Spring. The area has definitely declined since we lived there 15-20 years ago. No one bothered us, but just keep your eyes open when checking in and out. You'll see what I am referring to...
