Travelodge by Wyndham Silver Spring

Location was great and the room was unexpectedly nice, (even though the King Bed was unavailable, we wound up with 2 full beds) the bed was nice and firm (I give the bed a 10).

Other person checking in at the same time (Transiant roomer) was extremely beligerant, lashing out at other guests. The Receptionist check us in did nothing to assist us as entering guests. One other guest (possibly another Transiant roomer assisted us.

The price per night for the room and its closeness to Metro and to DC

internet was very inconsistent, there were no snack vending machines, the soda machine did not give proper change and dropped down the wrong soda, we had to climb up a flight of steps to get to our room level - no elevators

I felt the front desk staff rude and questioned why I couldn?t walk up 2 flights of stairs even though I was clearly wearing an oxygen tank. Arrangements were made ahead of my arrival and they were aware that I needed to be on the first floor.

Nothing. It was horrible.

The room had deep mold spots in in the rugs and walls. The staff lied about switching me to a new room. Would not provide me with a recepit. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

Leaving it.

There was no coffee or coffee machine in the room even though the description indicated each room had one. It had significant cosmetic damages and the tub/shower faucet was falling out of the wall. There were no hangers in the closet. No fridge.

No amenities, i.e., microwave,refrigerator, iron, ice, dresser drawers, telephone.

Staff was friendly and helpful

Refrigerator did not work at all and, regarding the toilet, I had to take the lid off tank each time I used the toilet.

The price was good for a last minute change.

The bathroom shower didnt work and there was a smell. The room was very small but sharing the room with roaches not exceptable. The place is also very old so be warned of rust things falling apart.

The hotel is a place hard stuff smokers. All rooms smell terribly, dirty, old washrooms, & TVs wont work either.

The shower water was freezing cold. Also, we had to be re-assigned to 3 different rooms during our one night stay because the first 2 were under repairs when we walked in and had horrible smells coming from them.

Everyone was very nice, always gave us what we needed for a family of 5. I would go stay again

I feel they needed more of a variety of breakfast good. It was the same thing over and over again. We stayed 5 nights

Crummy wallpaper,Shower was broken, homeless person sleeping by a hotel room door. No good WiFi or cable TV. Awful experience. We checked out earlier than out designated stay for the hotel conditions were horrible.

They gave us a discount because of no hot water. The beds were comfortable.

The first night there was no wifi. There was a drawer missing in the cabinet. The carpet was badly stained. The curtains had stains or paint in them. There was no hot water at all the next morning or all that day. There was wall paper covering a hole

Distance to DC

The entire property is not well maintained. We had to be moved to other rooms due to cleanliness and safety. The first rooms were filthy, balls of hair stuck to the side of the bed, floors not vacuumed, walls filthy, bathtub had a hole not a drain.

I liked the price of the room which included free parking. I liked the location.

The desk clerk spoke very poor English. The heater maid a loud sound. I slept without heat. The bathroom light fixture fail onto the shower rod while I was showering. I was not electrocuted. The fire alarm was not operational in the building.

Location to D.C. and a 7-11.

Everything else. Including the roaches, the gross carpet, the lack of ice (the front desk said that I could go to the 7-11 to buy my own ice), no shampoo or soap made available, the TV didn't work at all & no replacement was made.

There wasn¿t much to like.

The staff was unhelpful, the rooms were very run down. The doors looked like they had been pried open or broken down multiple times. Twice we were given a room that someone else was already in.

It was ok.

Staff seemed like they didn¿t care. When I arrived, my key card didn¿t work properly. I had to walk a distance to the office. After numerous tries to open the door, I asked for a different room which I got. Spent 3 nights there, I killed 15 roaches.
