Clean, great location, great breakfast
The Hampton Inn was great. Made our stay very comfortable. It's located a little way off the road which makes it really nice and quiet. The staff was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was great! Plenty of food for everyone.
It's located in a wooded area without much around. But little noise from traffic, however signs should be posted stated limit running and loud talking in hall ways.

The customer service was awesome.
I liked the fireplace, although it¿s placement in the room made it so that the thermostat would malfunction and the other rooms were cold because it thought they were at the correct temp.
It was a family friendly experience with the indoor pool free breakfast! High locks on the door so very accommodating if you have little ones! The beds were very comfortable, lots of lighting in the room! The kitchen, it was a bonus!

Breakfast better than expected
It was clean and it was very quiet. However, The breakfast area was too small with not enough room for a family to is and eat together and not much to choose from. When food ran out they didn¿t refill so if you didn¿t go early you didn¿t get much.

The room was awesome! We were on a tight schedule, so didn't get to use the pools, but they looked great. Breakfast was nice, but I would have preferred make your own waffles to the toaster ones.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, parking was easy. I enjoyed the smoking areas, however they weren¿t covered and it rained so then the chairs got wet and you couldn¿t sit in them. Dunkin¿ Donuts was right across the street.

For a place that just opened and is still a bit "under construction" it was pleasurable 6 day stay. Not too many amenities within the structure of the hotel, but it's growing and can't wait to see it completed the next time up.
My room had a nice view of the woods. Although that doesn’t seem like much it is when you live in the desert.
It was new

Top Tips
- Secure rates 40-60% lower at Fairhaven Village Inn and other waterfront properties by booking at least 90 days before summer. Prices typically rise from $169-$219 USD to $299+ USD after March 15. Compare rates for your stay and lock in savings early.
- Opt for motels along Route 6 such as Fairhaven Commons to save 20-25% compared to waterfront rates, averaging $135-$175 USD nightly with better availability up to two weeks prior. Confirm current rates and amenities before booking.
- Check your cell provider’s coverage in advance; Verizon users get 15-22 Mbps downtown Fairhaven, while AT&T and T-Mobile may experience dropouts or speeds under 5 Mbps, especially near Horseneck Beach. Confirm with your provider if you require consistent connectivity.
- Select 'charge in USD' at local gas stations or pharmacies like Shell and CVS on I-195 to avoid 4-7% dynamic currency conversion markups. Check your card’s international fee policy if paying with non-US cards.
- Request step-free access rooms during booking, especially at Fairhaven Commons (only 2 accessible units with roll-in showers). Online portals do not filter for these; verify availability directly with the hotel.
- Budget for a 5.7% state tax plus a 3% local excise fee on all hotel stays in Fairhaven, MA, as these rates apply to all guests regardless of length of stay. Confirm total price during booking to avoid surprises.
- Access 75 Mbps Wi-Fi at the Fairhaven Free Public Library (9-8 Mon-Thu, 9-5 Fri-Sat), often faster than hotel or motel networks. Plan visits during library hours for work or streaming needs.
- Tip 15% at full-service restaurants such as The Brass Lantern. At cafes like Buzzell’s Market, service is typically included, so extra tipping is not expected. Check your bill for service charges.
- Rates spike 30-40% and availability drops by up to 70% during Buzzards Bay Beach Sweep (first May weekend). Book at least 120 days in advance or expect premium prices.
- Request guest deep-freeze storage at extended-stay motels (e.g., Fairhaven Commons) for seafood from local docks. Confirm freezer space availability during your stay.
- Use an EPA-certified water filter in outlying rentals like North Fairhaven, where 12% of properties use wells with iron above 0.3 mg/L. Guests sensitive to water quality should bring or request filtration devices.
- Choose properties with ENERGY STAR or Green Lodging MA certification; 3 certified hotels in Fairhaven (including Fairhaven Village Inn) reduce water use by 20% during summer peaks. Ask for certification details when booking.
