Hotel Veritas

Pros +

• Location, decor, staff. Would haven given close to 10 in all categories were it not for the tiny size of the room.
• The hotel is very cute and very well run. In the lobby, they offer free coffee, tea, juice and water. I had to switch rooms, and they were very accommodating.
• The hotel is conveniently located to Harvard. Great location. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and I appreciated the complimentary coffee, tea, juice, etc. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Cons -

• My room as so small that it literally did not have a chair in it, not to mention a desk. Just a hassock crammed under the window sill crammed between the bed and the window next to a something like a coffee table with a TV on it.
• The hotel is super noisy. You can feel and hear the T (subway) running under the hotel. And my first room had beautiful windows onto Mass Ave, but they were not soundproof. It was unbearably noisy.
• Unfortunately, I didn't know the subway ran right below the hotel on Mass Ave. This was pretty loud and interrupted sleep. I stayed on the first floor facing Mass Ave so a room on an upper floor near the rear of the hotel probably would have been better.
