Meco Hotel

It's well located in the heart of Boston near a T station with trains that go to the airport station.

The bed didn't have a topsheet, just a blanket. The price was pretty high for just a bed.

Hard to find - walked up and down the street for 1/2 hr looking for it. Sign is only very small white lettering on the window (about 18 in x 20 in.) and placed around knee height from the ground.

Location and convenience

It was not a hotel room. It's a pod, a bed only in a dormitory room with shared bath. The price is too high for what it is. Should be more affordable.

It?s in a focal point

The lights in my bed were not working.

The attention to detail and communication was excellent.

It’s comfortable and super clean. Beds are properly separated so you can have your privacy during sleep. Bathroom cleaned!! The guy at the check-in was super helpful, friendly and he helped me changing my bed and room randomly during the night, because I needed it. I was glad he could help me and so fast. Really!

I had the necessity to change room because I didn’t feel safe because of a woman I didn’t trust. But wasn’t property’s fault.

This property is clean… up to date. The location is great. They have all female rooms which is a plus for solo travelers. They allow us to leave our luggage while we wait for the room etc. they offer tea and coffee in the morning.

I paid $155 for the night and got a bed that did not meet my needs. I asked for a change and the front desk gave me two options that did not meet my expectations taking in to consideration what I paid. There was defective bed available and I took it because I had no good options. I honestly did not feel they cared. I am not sure if it’s Boston culture but front desk person in the morning did not seem open and friendly. We are tourists and not from Boston so a bit more warmth would feel like they want us there paying for their services. It is also a hostel with curtains so expect noise etc.

I liked the privacy of the beds, the comfort and cleanliness. The beds were spacious and accommodating. I would be willing to stay there another time if needed.

What I did not like was after paying for the Meco through your services, they attempted to charge me an ADDITIONAL $150 for insurance. There was nothing on the website about because, as nice as the room and bed were; no hostel is worth $250! PLEASE!

I had every detail that I needed in my bed. Clean of the bathroom.

Under the bed, on the cabinet, there is a need to be cleaner, too much dust, and the bed is very hard. Add some memory foam.

This was unexpectedly great! The hostel rooms were large but they have managed to keep everyone secluded thanks to the great pods with plenty of room for things, to charge and also control the overhead fan. Actually slept well which is rare in large shared rooms. They also have a tiny free coffee/biscuit in the common area during breakfast hours. The location is perfect.

The only culprit would be starting the breakfast at 7:30, I'd much prefer 7 for those of us looking to explore the city :)

The beds were very comfortable and the bunk you were in felt very private. Free towels and excellent showering facilities was a huge plus.

The open lounge area was closed when I was there.

Simple, straight forward, gave a locker, calm and quiet.

To close/lock the luggage storage I had to crawl deeper than I would have liked ,but that is a very minor thing.In the morning there was no water in the common area, but it was really early.

Location to venue and train station. It was quiet.

I was sold a pod that was supposed to be in a 6 guest occupancy,but ended up in a room with more. The bathroom was pretty beat up, needed some repairs.

The location. Everything else was abysmal

It was tiny and extremely hot and loud. There was not proper stairs for the top bunk.

As far as pod hostels go, this is a good one! Compared to everything else in the city centre, it’s both affordable whilst also giving you a sense of privacy, even if it’s just a blind you pull down.

The shared bathrooms are what you’d expect - not exactly pristine!

Loved the early check-in option! I was unsure about booking a pod at first, but it turned out to be a great choice. The space was safe, comfortable, and close to major attractions if you enjoy walking. I’d absolutely stay here again!

The only downside was the breakfast. I wish there were at least bagels or croissants, but it didn’t bother me much since I preferred eating out at local cafés. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay
