SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Orleans Downtown/Canal Street

The property was in the best location. Close enough from the Bourbon St and French Quarter noise but close enough that you could walk to everything or use the transit train. So don’t bother renting a car you probably won’t use it. Plus parking there is a bit crazy. The staff was AMAZING and super friendly!! If I ever come back to New Orleans I will be staying at this property.

The only issue was the tv in the room had a bit of a blue hue but other than that everything was super clean and worked fine.

My sister and I were warmly greeted from the valet representative to the front desk. Because we arrived early I was prepared to store our luggage and explore the city while I room was getting cleaned. Surprisingly our room was ready. Our room was freshly cleaned, the bed was extremely comfortable, great water pressure . Nice decor. The staff are professional, kind,warm,and welcoming! The Delicious breakfast was included! I will definitely recommend this hotel!

EXCELLENT Customer Service & Interpersonal Skills!!!! I'm talking about the entire team ... from the initial greeting by the Doorman to Front Desk personnel & Custodial Staff. Awesome breakfast, too!! Very courteous and friendly staff members!!!

The room I wanted I did not get. Inside of the room could have been cleaner it was stained towels & covers still hair on the bathroom floor. The room floor felt sticky

Great value and location — would definitely recommend!We had a great stay at this hotel. The Wi-Fi was excellent, the check-in process was smooth, and the room was spacious and comfortable.Breakfast was simple but had all the essentials — eggs, meats, juice, yogurt, milk, cereal, coffee, tea, and fruit. A good start to the day!The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the French Quarter, which makes it super convenient while still being in a quieter area.Housekeeping is done every other day, but if you need anything in the meantime, just call the front desk and they’ll bring it right up — very responsive service!A small downside: the neighborhood is very quiet at night during the week, with empty streets early in the evening. While it felt safe, I wouldn’t recommend walking around late on weeknights. From Friday on, though, the area becomes much livelier and more active near the hotel.The only real issue we had was the first night — we were given a room with broken blinds. When I asked to change rooms, the front desk agent was not very friendly and told us a technician would fix it the next day. After a long flight, I insisted on a new room, and they did eventually accommodate us.Despite that, I would 100% recommend this hotel for the price, quality, and location.

Inside the rooms, it smelled a little damp, which is to be expected in a subtropical climate, I guess.

The rooms were Okay. There was a kitchen. The pots and pans and utensils were too used. Morning breakfast was of okay quality. The breakfast space was crowded perhaps due to high travel season. Hotel was about 15 minutes walk from French quarter. I would not recommend walking by oneself at night. Self parking was across street - acceptable. It does save a lot compared with hotel parking in French quarter. Overall, it was okay hotel.

There was some difference in cost between when we made the reservation and what we were eventually charged. This was not good.
