Location.
We were in town visiting family. The motel was close to the home of our family.
Interior cleanliness, and room was functional, no issues.

Cons -

Small pillows
The beds are very uncomfortable. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. Burn holes in the blankets. Not nearly enough towels were provided and when my husband requested additional towels, the clerk told him she would bring them to us, yet we never received.
Staff was not as friendly as I am accustomed to when travelling ( not particularly UN-FRIENDLY, just not FRIENDLY), the exterior cleanliness was an issue, had to walk around something on the sidewalk that I was unsure of what it was, never got cleaned.

Convenience. I love that Motel 6 accepts pets!

Requested a non-smoking room and the room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and one of the blankets had a cigarette burn in it. Two bed room was very cramped and should have only had one bed in it. Tiny room.
