The staff at the Oread was outstanding. They were very responsive to our every need. We loved the location and ease to get around campus and to downtown Lawrence.
The front desk staff was really helpful and friendly. She offered to show me the room before I decided to check-in since there were a lot of college kids around at the time and were quite loud. Cable TV is nice, lots of options.

The lighting in the rooms could be better.
The room was very dark, there's no ample light fixture to make it brighter. There is no couch for such a large room with two queen beds, and the bed was too high for someone with disability. No microwave for an expensive room either. No carpet.

The terraces were awesome. It offset how odd it was to have strange open spaces in the floor plan, elevators that operated differently (different floors) without signage, and the facts that the last night there was a loud party going on until 2am.

There was no hand soap. There were not enough towels the first day. We had another group in the same hotel in a different room and there were clear inconsistencies in how the room was stocked (towels, coffee items, etc).
