Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Madison Historic Eagle Cotton Mill

Pros +

• The view from my room.
• Very cool historical building that was repurposed into a hotel. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor to see the original wood ceiling and structure beams. Nice place to be near the water and history of Madison. Good smelling soaps and shampo
• The hotel was close to restaurants, bars, and shopping. It had a beautiful view of the river. Also, the room was spacious and clean.

Cons -

• The 4th floor room doors close super loud no matter what you do. The Internet was out for a while one morning, then some buffering that night. I came at the end of the off season, I can not imagine paying 2 1/2 times what I paid during peak season.
• The bed is less comfortable than I would have hoped and it is lower in height than what is customary in new hotels.
