The hotel was great. Unfortunately, there was a particular staff member who was very rude to my party. We'd booked 18 rooms for the weekend and was there to celebrate a family members 80th birthday. This particular staff member was 4he only one who constantly gave us a problem. On the evening of the second night of our stay, we returned from our event to find the front desk area completely dark. We were having trouble assisting some of our elderly guests with getting into the building, as it was raining, and the absence of lights made things that much more dangerous. When we asked about the lack of lighting, we were told by the rude staff member to go to our rooms and stop asking questions or leave the property. Unsatisfied with her answer,several of the guests in my party began to complain about her lack of customer service. The desk clerk continued to threaten to call the police if we didn't disperse. We decided that we would report the incident to the corporate office. An incident report was taken, and to their credit, the corporate office decided to refund each of the guests involved a one night stay. While the hotel, all the other staff members, and the corporate office were great, this rude front desk person made the hotel stay a disaster.
