The Gwen, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Michigan Avenue Chicago

Having to make resevations to enjoy the rooftop and being told that I I could come into the roof rooftop, but I had to be done with my table by 12 noon because there was a reservation for the table

The location and rooftop bar was nice.

First disappointment was an undisclosed $25/day resort/property fee. In the past these have always been disclosed at booking. The room did not match the pictures during booking. Displayed pictures had a bathtub and shower. We only had a shower.

Good location and room was very clean

Not a 4 star hotel. It¿s a fine hotel but just don¿t expect that much other than the basics.

Very clean hotel and excellent staff. We arrived early and expected to just drop our bags off until the official check in time. Since our room was ready, we were allowed to check in early which was fantastic.

The Friendly Staff and how they went above and beyond to exceed our accommodations.

Valet parking 70$. Food/Room Service ends at 11pm.

The lobby and the easiness it was to get to Michigan Ave.

The Rooms. I paid for a room expecting a Michigan ave view, especially paying specifically for the Michigan Ave room rate¿ and I got the top of the Nordstroms building. We went down and changed rooms, because the first one had half size windows.

So luxurious and the best staff attention. Enjoyed dinner and drinks both inside and on the terrace. Was beyond lovely. Bed was extremely comfortable and rooms well appointed. Location was tops. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed the hotel location and amenities available to guests. The hotel is situated in a perfect area for popular nightlife activities and is equipped with a fitness center open 24 hours.

The hotel staff was a bit slow or unresponsive at times. We had to request cleaning service and room service assistance multiple times to get our order filled.

Room was quiet, very nice and clean, Bed was excellent, Great positive energy in lobby bar area, fun place to be.

Room could have been larger, city view was ok but not great.

Wasn¿t able to enjoy the outdoor patio because of covid limit capacity. They were always booked. I think only hotel guests should be allowed to reserve the outdoor space instead of anyone being able to.

Beds were great and hotel was very clean and modern

Love this location! We had an issue at first but were so well taken care of - it was a pleasure! We will be back!

It was not as quiet as I remember- but its summer in the city! We also had to change rooms but were accommodated well!

There was only one bed. I was told two bed room but they had to bring a roll away bed

Rooms were updated beautifully, cozy beds and huge TVs

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel was quiet, clean, and updated. Bed was comfortable and there were multiple pillow choices.

Parking was expensive but that is not unusual for the area.

I tend to be quite picky when staying in a hotel, especially regarding the cleanliness. Hotel employee was fantastic. The lobby and bar area are beautiful. Our room was extremely clean and spacious. Separate tub and shower which is huge plus!!
