Pros +
- The size of the room and the food was excellent and hotel employee went above and beyond to make our Chicago trip memorable she was very nice and knowledgeable and she definitely made me wanna book again.
- EVERYTHING! Locartions/staff/room size/and the 29th florr outdoor bar!
- Cleanliness and location
Cons -
- Parking was extremely expensive
- They could hire more staff to assist at the deak and room cleaning was superb, but I think thety could use more cleaners. Special notice goes to RTaymond, tat the desk, who was often overwhelmed with check-ins and check-outs
- Needed a stopper in the tub so I could take a bath and not just a shower.

Cleanliness and location
Needed a stopper in the tub so I could take a bath and not just a shower.
It was clean, just old which makes it look less clean. The location was great and we had no issues with noise.
Contacting the front desk took, like, 10+ minutes. They kept putting me on hold. They weren’t able to meet my need and also didn’t communicate that with me. They said they’d try and that they’d call back to let me know but never did.
The elevator size for the amount of floors it covered was ridiculous. You can only fit 8 people on an elevator but it services 20+ floors? The TV had no service. The shower head dripped down. There was barely enough pressure to wash my hair
Location, location, location
The $80 Valet charge was a surprise, but it beat having to find a place to park in downtown Chicago
Hotel employee was a pleasure, extremely friendly, and very helpful. I am not sure what are with the negative reviews about a mandatory $142 upgrade, this was not the case. I would 100% stay here again.
Everything was great, nothing negative to mention.
Location
Front desk guy was really rude. Shower had no pressure and elevator is extremely slow.
The staff was very helpful and excellent especially valet service, doormen! Very convenient location to Northwestern Medical, which is why I travel to Chicago.
The safe did not work and there was no way to communicate with housekeeping in room 508.
Location
No fridge in our room and no attempt to get one even though I contacted them several times and had insulin to refrigerate, Cold shower, peeling ceiling, no lotion or shampoo, long elevator waits and horrible air in them
Friendly staff, great location rooftop bar
Shower head was bad (but was fixed) the room light9was not great
There isn't anything to like -- this should not be listed as a four star hotel. It is very sketch.
Boiler broken for two days, no compensation offered. Elevators were always a 2-4 minute wait which allowed guests to discuss the outdated dank rooms, problematic TVs, peeling wallpaper frayed carpet with nails. Chevy Chase made a movie.
This is not a four star hotel as advertised. The wait for the elevator was typically 2-4 minutes. Other guests compared stories of tv's that didn't work, bringing lysol into their room, and lack of daily housekeeping.
The boiler was broken for my entire stay -- no hot water.
Convenience to things I was doing while in Chicago.
I stayed 4 nights and never got any housekeeping service. Never had the bed made, never had trash emptied, never had bathroom refreshed.
Hotel employee were working the front desk when we arrived and were super helpful and attentive! They were quick to provide us with toiletries and guides when needed! We brought a dog and the fee was only $75 for the whole stay.
When we got into the elevator there was an ad for the upstairs bar. Cool! What was not cool was how garishly poor the AI-generated art appeared to be, along with the possible trademark violation of a partial Bulova logo. Not a fan.
The lobby and the kindness of the staff checking in at the second hotel
When we arrived the hotel had overbooked and sent us to a different hotel. The most upsetting point was we booked the hotel to be steps away from the hospital where my husband had a 5:30am surgery. The second hotel far away
Location rooms
The neoghboors were too noisy i had to open the door and ask them 3 times to lower their volume at 330 am
The location. It was within 5 to 20 minute walking distance to major attractions
The staff up thru management were uncommunicative and just outright horrible. They abuse their titles to process unauthorized transactions on your credit card on file without a mention. I was discriminated against by staff
Location
I was charged $140 for a daily guest package. This was not disclosed on the confirmation. Please refund $140
The housekeeping staff, but the managers acted deceptively and used unethical business practices. Don’t stay at this hotel.
The hotel used a pricing system that deceives customers. They advertise a room rate that fails to disclose a mandatory coupon purchase requirement and other fees that double the cost. These are deceptive trade practices and unethical. Avoid this hotel.
