Chicago Lake Shore Hotel

The Young Man who checked us in early Sunday morning was professional, kind, and informative. Told us about CTA routes and good places to eat nearby/

The staff was professional and polite

I checked in my room noticed Black mold in shower immediately left room returned to front desk and reported issue and asked for refund talked with manager she stated when you guys called that she would waive cancellation fee HAVENT gotten refund yet!!!

The room was adequate for the price. The employee who checked me in was polite, professional, and efficient.

The other employees I I interacted with, saw interacting with other customers, weren't so great. It is a dated room - no USB charging points so take an adapter.

It was by the lake.

Staff was very rude and not understanding at all. After i paid on line i arrive there with my mom as she just had eye surgery went to the staff she charged me extra money for a deposit which i wasn't contacted about. So no I'm not happy about my stay.

The other hotel guests were extremely loud, rude and we really didn¿t get any sleep at all

Proximity to everthing

Loud, people coming and going staff I think woke me up. Not clean. Possible bed bugs

The Staff were super friendly and helpful

Pool was run down and closed the cafe next to the hotel was also closed and locked up. Nearest food was blocks away.

Second hand used worn out furniture, very very small room area, loud slamming entry doors, lack of towels, and men loitering outside in parking lot.

It was close to so many places and I Loved being able to wake up and see the sun rising over Lake Michigan.

There was no ice machine. I was sent to the 3rd floor of the Beat Western that was next door and that machine wasn¿t working. I also didn¿t appreciate being on the first floor under noisy people with a fog that barked a lot.

The room was clean and the cleaning staff was very nice on like the staff at the main desk who were very rude

Had me pay an additional $100 deposit when the room was already paid for when I got to the room it was upstairs I have heart issues so I asked for a different room because there was no elevator and they said they had no other room then they did not tell

I like the location and the availability of this hotel the best.

I didn't like the quality of the room. The ceiling was peeling, the remote didn't work to the type of tv in the room things around the room were missing things such as the handle to the dresser.

Location was next to the lake.

Its not the Lakeshore Hotel, it's actually Best Western which is shut down, but yet they still put you in there,the pool is shut down. There is RATS and they live by the pool. No breakfast,no coffee. They also charge $100 deposit.

The location and the staff of the companion hotel which was Best Western!!! The Best Western had modern features, the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel was dingy, smelly, outdated furniture.

The Chicago Lake Shore Hotel SUCKED, the housekeeping department spoke no English, I needed clean towels I was told¿habla no englishes¿. I was in room #519 and I could have sworn the hotels gym was above my room. NOISE ALL DAY AND NIGHT! No ice maker!

The way the clerk treated me & the manager repeatedly made it worse after my car was towed! It took them 10hrs to bring it back while the whole time he lied in my face! The keys kept deactivating.I didn't stay the whole week from the massive disrespect!

Even though the pool was out of service it should've been still kept up! There were NO nonsmoking 1st floor rooms & had to haul my custom bycycle up/down the stairs! I was absolutely undoubtedly disrespected & no one seems to care, this was a nightmare!

I did not like anything about this hotel.

the room was filthy and smelled damp and like mold. there was visible black mold growing around the bathtub

We waited 40 minutes after our checkin time until we could get our room & missed the 1st song at our concert. I expected to at least be offered something to comp but was not, & staff was kinda snappy about it. My clothes got wet bc the toilet was leaking

yes certainly. It was dirty, moldy offensive Smokey smell.furniture were old, scratch up, outdated. Torn stained moldy smelling carpet, no refrigerator in room.

Yes, the smelly room, old furniture, very low quality and uncomfortable mattress, noisy bathroom Exhaust fan, and small TV which was not working.

The location was superb

The room stunk of cigarettes. The room across the hall had a very loud dog that kept barking. No elevator to go up to the second floor. The set of stairs were very narrow and we're about to fall apart. Carpet was stained everywhere.

This is a Motel NOT a hotel. I was expecting to stay in the hotel I checked in at and was told to go outside to access my room. A homeless family was standing outside my room. I was uncomfortable passing them as I entered. The room needs updating!
