Tamarack Lodge Sun Valley

This hotel is the cleanest hotel room I¿ve ever stayed in my life. The staff was courteous. The rooms are amazing. We stayed an extra day after being there for 15 minutes. We just left the place.

I liked the layout and spaciousness of the room.

The room was overall very spacious with plenty of room for a cot, etc. However, I was denied due to said ¿Fire Code.¿ This didn¿t make sense to me because I have had access to said amenities at every other hotel I¿ve stayed at.

Very quaint, super Duper clean and comfortable. I arrived late but I received a text message with instructions on how to acquire my key at the lock box. I left the letter of thanks In regards to the remarkably clean room and I left a very nice tip.

Difficulty with digital lock on door difficult to make contact with.

Given the price of other rooms and location this was acceptable. Otherwise it could use a massive makeover. But can’t really complain for the price. Staff were very nice.

Parking is not great, but parking is a problem pretty much everywhere in Ketchum.

The pool and hot tub were undergoing maintenance no no where on the website did they tell us that. Also the I found a lighter and some stains on the robes in the room!!

The bed!! OMG! So incredibly comfy... The view and the location were spectacular, too!

The hotel is quite dated. Bathroom fan sounds like a jet engine. Beds felt old and uncomfortable. I could hear people talking in the next room. Really old style motor inn. I would rate this hotel two star at best.

Great location. We could walk or ride a bike most everywhere. Wonderful. friendly front desk. We really liked the ice cold citus water and tea in the lobby. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Large room.

The rooms didn't exacly look as pictures on the website. Walls needed some TLC, but it was very clean. Just needed some patch work here and there. It was kind of noise from the street,but not from room to room.

Loved having direct access to the courtyard from my ground floor room. The common area was beautiful and comfortable.

No fault of the lodge, but there was no power from 9:45 pm until morning on the first night. Also the noise from neighbors was noticeable.

First of all, the property location is not capable of improvement, IMHO, as it sets, smack dab in the middle of town with an easy stroll from (it seems) everything. I had two commitments in town and was a short stroll of a block or two from both.The room was spotless, both the AC unit and plumbing fixtures worked as advertised, and both the light switches and the lights themselves seemed intentionally placed with convenience in mind. The room was clean, and the in-room coffee was easily prepared with quality supples.Best for last… cheerful, friendly and helpful staff.

On first impression, it struck me as similar to many lodging properties in mountain towns (I live in Colorado) I’ve stayed in over a 15 year job covering the Mountain West. An old-school, property with a bit of well.maintained age. I’m happy to say that I quickly noticed that the room was well-maintained and stocked, clean.
