A grand old "Hotel Any City" that has fallen on tough times and is a bit threadbare, but the prior grandeur is very evident and easily conjures the glory and the trappings of the times (1920s) that built it; a very fun experience for as long as it lasts.

Excellent experience - from check in to check out. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Beds were WAY comfortable. Breakfast was AWESOME!!! Will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!

Excellent experience - from check in to check out. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Beds were WAY comfortable. Breakfast was AWESOME!!! Will DEFINITELY stay here again!!!

Loved the classic and comfortable feel of the room, and the downtown Ottumwa location. Also liked the breakfast in the adjoining cafe. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.
