Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cedar Rapids NE - Marion by IHG

Clean comfortable and nice

I didnt like being lied to by a member of your staff, but also being talked to poorly by a member your staff

Clean, friendly staff, great accommodations

Clean room and friendly staff.

We were in Room 206 and the ceiling already had a crack in it. Very concerning given it's a new hotel.

The pillows!! Should sell them.

Pets

Good complimentary breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows

The outside of the building needs some repairs.

It was very close to the baseball park where the tournament was. Breakfast was fine.

When we entered the room the bed was so poorly made and sloppy that I actually thought that it was leftover from the previous guest. I looked really closely and decided that the sheets were clean but then it made me think to look all around the room for cleanliness. The main part of the room and bathroom was clean but all around the edges were dirty. Clearly it was cleaned in a hurry without care. I feel like for $300 per night we should have had a nicely made bed and a completely clean room. Also for the price I thought we should have a coffee maker in the room. We won't stay there again.

The manager was amazing. The Dove toiletries were a nice surprise and the bed was very comfortable. New motel. It's the first time in a long time that my bed was made and fresh towels provided the next day. Close walk to fast food. Nice variety of breakfast foods.

No negatives

Brand new hotel. Very clean and very friendly staff. This is a great hotel to stay at if you're in town for the baseball complex. It's a 6 minute drive. The ice machines couldn't keep up so the hotel had an ice chest for guests to use to keep the water bottles full and cold. The fitness center is open 24 hours with a nice rack of hand weights. Breakfast is plentiful with a great variety of items that were constantly restocked. Will definitely be my go to hotel next baseball tournament.

This is a short drive from a large baseball complex. If you are not staying for baseball during the summer expect the hotel to be full of players Thursday-Sunday.

Breakfast was very good, but it ends at 9:00. I wanted to sleep in one day! There was a wide selection every day.

Only noted minor inconveniences; the breakfast hours, as mentioned. Also, the chair in the room was uncomfortable.
