Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Des Moines Downtown

What did I like hotel employee! She was great she was really nice very welcoming we had a good conversation and I was highly impressed with her professionalism. She asked me did I need anything and made me feel like a superior guest. I highly recommend Fairfield

Big room.

Late breakfast and mediocre food. Didn't know $20 for parking until check-in. Bed firm.

Location to the concert we were attending.

They were saying to stop and have a drink but the lounge was not open when it was supposed to be and closed before the concert was over so we never could stop. Truly a missed opportunity as other guest were also expecting it to be open.

The staff were all incredibly nice our entire stay, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was pretty solid for a continental breakfast. Plus it was right across the street from the event we were attending at Wells Fargo Arena

The parking lot was nice.

Listed online in Express as a pet friendly hotel. It wasn't. And I was unable to cancel before checking in

Being charged $15 to park on there property while I am paying $--- a room. My pillows were like sleeping on rolled up sheets. Shower door doest seal shut. I had swimming pool of water on bathroom floor that I slipped on coming out of shower.. wall

One of my best stays in a long time for the price. Fantastic room! Great breakfast and nice staff.

Location, staff, cleanliness were all perfect

The heat system didn¿t keep up so the room was a little bit on cool side. No heat vents in bathroom so that room was always cooler. No hair dryer. Other than that it was great.

Our TV was not working and even when I reported it they never came and fix.they never let us know that we have to request cleaning our room. We requested then and the answer with a simple maybe because they was short staffed. But at the end they did.

I would consider this a 3 and 1/2 or 4 star hotel. Nice new large clean rooms with all of the necessities like phone chargers the length mirror bathtub refrigerator coffee maker microwave.

Breakfast could be served longer it lasts until 9:00, 9:30 on the weekends.

Wow!! Nice place to be. My and i did not want to leave but it was just for two nights, but very enjoyable.

The cleanliness, location, staff and room layout were great.

Front desk staff the evening we were there. He was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast included in the stay was good, too.

Bar was only open for about 3 hours. Our group had to pay $20 to park in Fairfield's parking lot. It was Fairfield's lot - it should have been included in the stay.

Room was much more than I expected. Was extremely clean and well stocked. Had a nice view of the venue we were going to. Desk clerk was very kind and made check in seamless.

The only weakness I would comment on is the breakfast. Was pretty weak. Not much variety in the hot foods. Other places I have been to had the option to make your own waffles and fresh fruits.

Staff was welcoming. Everything was clean. The coffee was good. Easy walking distance to restaurants and Riverwalk

Paying $20 to park for one night. Two lights in the room didn't work
