Location

Walls are super thin and you can hear everything you neighbors do/say. Pool was super cold. Breakfast is just meh...

The location is marvelous. Took an evening walk by the river. Something I had not planned.

It is getting old and might see more glory. But then it will be more expensive and I liked the price I got.

The King Suites are spacious and it was clean.

Pillows too sift and you have to ask for housekeeping

The front desk employees were very friendly and personable.

The pack-n-play option was usable but broken. The room wasn?t the absolute cleanest.

Breakfast was good and plentiful. The photo showed a basic set up, but there was another serving side not shown. Good variety.

The hot water took more than 2 minutes to be warm at the sink and longer in the shower.

Location and staff

There was mold in the bathrooms. There was a pile of dod food in the room. Parts of the ceiling were coming down around the windows. The entire building had a strong mildew smell

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Scramble eggs at breakfast were fantastic. Great location from State Fair.

Hallway seemed a bid drab on walk to room. Pretty minor and digging for anything to not like.

Room size was awesome. Free parking much appreciated. Kids loved pool. Breakfast was good.

Room chairs were pretty dirty. Halls need updating.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was professional and breakfast was excellant!

Good breakfast. Check in person was friendly and efficient.

Hair in the shower. Person assisting check in person was a bit rude.

The 2 ladies waiting the counter as we checked in had such great personalities. Wonderful to work with.

They weren't keeping the tables clean at breakfast. Could not find a clean table, just kind of icky to have syrup and crumbs on the tables when you are looking for a place to eat breakfast. The pool area needs work also.

At least got to see the I cub fireworks!

Hotel was overly booked! It was very loud and noisey! The pool was falling apart! The room was not clean and there breakfast wasn't hot! Overall stay was horrible and for $---- was unacceptable and at that point everything downtown Des Moines was boo

Professional, and for an older hotel, the lobby was clean and updated.

Bathroom wasn't super clean.

The location was excellent. Right across From the Capitol bldg, Des Moines River and a beautiful city park. Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was great and breakfast was good!!!

Very Clean. Free parking was a huge plus! Nice breakfast with lots of seating in breakfast area. Easy walk to Hyvee Hall.

I loved it it's location most.I loved that they were willing to change my room to a room I preferred without any Problems. The room was clean the beds were comfortable. the hotel was quiet.

They did not serve any meat options for breakfast.There were eggs and biscuits and gravy but no sausage or bacon except for what was in the gravy. The breakfast was only open until 9am. Which is crazy.. especially if you're on vacation.

Close to Wells Fargo for the sporting event

Facilities such as fitness center and pool were below average compared to other hotels in downtown Des Moines.

How clean the rooms and the Complimentary breakfast.

Was disappointed that wasn't notified about the pool being down due to maintenance.

Hotel is close to most things you want when traveling and the free parking is great. The breakfast is good and the staff is awesome. Was greeted every time I came through the door.
