Castle Hali'i Kai at Waikoloa

Exceptionally beautiful grounds. Spacious accommodations. Excellent food at the restaurant.

Pool is not large enough for the size of the resort. Most of pool is only 3 1/2 ft deep. Not allowed to bring any reusable beverage containers (or food/alcohol) into the pool area, so missed not being able to drink coffee in the mornings.

Pool area is great

Additional cleaning fee ($300) was required for check in but not disclosed. Unit was weathered; old furniture, marks on most walls, old appliances, etc¿. I would not book this again.

The villa was gorgeous. Our second story view over the golf course with the ocean in the distance was inspiring. The landscape was well kept and the pool area was as spectacular as the pictures depicted.

The staff was my least favorite aspect of our visit. The front desk manager(?) & female pool attendant weren't at all friendly. I hoped we had just caught them on bad days but our following encounters were unfortunately the same: harsh and cold.

Great place for staycation. Close to restaurants, shops, beaches and movie theater. Nice to have coastline access for swimming, whale watching and sunsets. Comfortable, clean and well appointed. Would stay here again.

Location was great. Pool was great. The exterior facilities were great. The gym was dated. The room itself was dated with damaged walls and old/worn furniture. The decor was dated with some fixtures not even working or having batteries. Overall price for you get with the room was not worth the price.

Wonderful property located in an even more outstanding community. The grounds are immaculate, clean and accessories with everything you need. Management is very responsive as well

Could do with an update of washing machine and dryer

A beautiful, well-maintained property. Great location. The Ocean Club is a short stroll from all units and provides a beautiful view of the ocean and a relaxed setting for eating or having beverages. The overall feeling is calm and relaxing.

Beds and facilities all modern and in good condition. Great view of sunset from pool. Quiet location.

No map of resort in unit, hard to locate guest services and to find what could be recycled. First beach towel from guest services was ripped and threadbare.

We loved the view of the ocean and sunset from the pool. There was a nice view of Kohala mountain from the room. The food at the pool restaurant was great.

We love the space to stay at and how close it is to all of our favorite beaches. We've come here several years now and are planning to go back soon.

We'd prefer a location a little closer to the pool but otherwise everything was great.

Great spacious location overlooking the golf course. Facilities were great including basketball and tennis. The neighbourhood was quiet and the pool very fun.

We love the location. We also love the pool and restaurant. Also the condos are very nice but this particular unit was not as nice as the other units we have stayed in previously.

As noted above, the unit was not as nice or as comfortable as other units we have stayed. We also didn’t have hot water. The hot water was short lived on the first day and then the rest of the weekend we had no hot water. Beds and pillows were not comfortable and neither was the couch. But the biggest problem was the hot water. It’s not fun coming back from beach and pool and taking a cold shower. Updated: Right before checking out the management did send someone to fix the hot water. Since the hot water was intermittent, and we were out during most of the day we didn’t realize it was completely gone until our last day so we should have called them earlier in our trip and they would have fixed it. We would definitely come back but stay in a different unit.

The Hali’i Kai property is pristine

My unit lacked any supplies. No beach chairs, very few kitchen supplies, ugly paint and old furnishings.

The location of the pool was perfect . It was closest to the ocean for whale watching!

Didn't particularly care for being able to hear footsteps of upstairs neighbors.
