Pros +
- Many areas to explore, I like to walk , the hotel is in a great location
- The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The staff seem adequate.
- The property looks pretty
Cons -
- The hotel room was stinky and moldy and dirty. For the outrageous amount for only 2 nights it’s crazy that there is no proper place to eat from breakfast when they are hosting a conference. This used to be my favorite hotel as a child and now it’s a rundown joke.
- It was ok
- The room was a bit run down and dirty, and the aircon was noisy. It was a 15 minute walk to the parking lot. The check-in starts late at 4pm and the room was not ready. Lots of people are standing in line and/or waiting around in the arrival area for a room. Check-out is early-10am in the morning. So, if you stay for two nights, you only really get to enjoy the pool for a day. For a large property, there was not a lot of restaurants to choose from.

The property looks pretty
-It’s too spread around, -There are no beaches in the property, -If you are going to have a fun time, -this hotel has no fun unless you are a family with kids and the clubs are 40min away. - mostly everything that I isn’t a coffee shop doesn’t open until 11:00am. -if you pre pay for breakfast it’s a continental breakfast that does not worth the money. - if you pay for the breakfast buffet at water edge you better eat 2 or 3 plates of food and hope that they have all items available when is your turn to eat because $55 it’s something. - you need to make sure which area of this desert you are going to be placed because some of them are in decent locations but most of them will make you cry every time you have to go back to the room. - and if you happen to visit and the train station isn’t working I would ask for a refund and go to a cheaper hotel in Kona.
