The location was perfect

There was no safety lock on the door and the bathroom door would not shut.

Location.

Evening desk staff on 5/15: key didn?t work. He was away from desk, wanted me to shout my requirements across the lobby. I wasn?t prepared to do that, to which he responded ?That?s just stupid?. Also: room had overpowering unpleasant chemical smell.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was tastefully appointed. The valet service was excellent. The in-room coffee was good, and I loved that there were ceramic cups for the coffee.

Carpets in the hallway of 6th floor were stained. I'm sure it's difficult to maintain hallway carpets. This is my only negative observation about the entire experience.

The hotel staff and the location.

There were absolutely NO EXTRAS at this hotel. No ice, no vending machines, no bottled water, no bar or restaurant.

The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Valet was always quick when retrieving our car. A/C was nice and cold. Pillows and bed very comfortable.

Was not happy that our room was not serviced until the day before we left. We were there 5 days. Absolutely no extras. No fridge, no bottled water, no food for purchase, etc.

Ambiance and location.

No refrigerator in room. Only coffee in room, no tea.

The hotel is perfectly central to everything. The valet service is a huge plus and there is a breakfast place right behind it. Could not have went with a better hotel, plus if you are wanting the old school feel to a room this is it!

Beds and pillow were not comfortable and need to be updated- I realize the hotel is over 200 years old but the mattress and pillows shouldn¿t be

We love this hotel for the location. You are positioned between the river walk and the main strip (Broughton St). Staff has always been kind and helpful. If you don¿t like to valet you vehicle, there is a parking garage right next door.

While we understand that due to COVID some services were taken away (breakfast and wine/cheese hour) these were definite wins for the hotel before. My main issue, was that the bed was clearly old and uncomfortable.. and the pillows worse!

Location is very good. Garage parking was $10 overnight.

It was clean good location and nice breakfast was included

Elevators were broken. We were on the fourth and fifth floor. Stairwell was not big enough for someone to walk up while someone was walking down. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate my handicap mom and they were not helpful at all.

I loved the location. Once we had the car valet parked, we didn’t have to use it all vacation. Great breakfast and the wine and cheese social is also a plus.

The only thing that I can think of that wasn’t a big problem was that when we left there was no valet. It was not a real problem since we were parked near the entrance on the first floor. We left around 6 am on Friday. The staff was amazing!

The location, staff and charm of the Inn

The location is optimal. The wine and cheese reception and free cookies are great. The room is nice. The staff is helpful. The breakfast is fine. Overall, a great choice.
