    Pros +

    • Location, newly remodeled. Nice fridge & microwave.
    • Clean and cozy
    • This is a great! Well kept comfortable places for a family with kids and pets of all ages and sizes

    Cons -

    • We had the economy room, would not book it again. Very small room, no place to sit. Bathroom was extremely small with a tiny corner sink. No breakfast, lack of clothes hooks. Would be good as a second room with kids, but not a couple.
    • I killed two German roaches on the counter top near the coffee maker
    • There was no communication prior to the day of arrival saying there was no staff on property and that we would need to wait for a door code so that was extremely inconvenient, but could have been avoided with prior knowledge. It was extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. Especially when the keypad locked us out.

Beautiful cabin style room, the whole place looks freshly remodeled, convenient location. The bed was extremely comfortable the room was spotless. We did have some trouble with the door locks (locked out) which took some persistence to reach the office to resolve (20 min and more than 6 calls to get an answer) you can hear some road noise in the room, but i guess thats the price you pay to be in walking distance to most of Hiawassee. Its a nice place but i was very annoyed with the locks, the several other people i saw were struggling with them as well.

The beds were very comfortable, and we were favorably surprised that the kitchen was supplied as it was. Had a great time!

The only thing we had to control was the smoke detector while opening the oven door. It's nice to be safe but funny, especially when you're trying to make biscuits in the morning and the smoke detector goes off and wakes up everyone.

No breakfast, not really on the lake. No staff at all. Check in by text and same way for Check out.

    Two floors and narrow stairs.

The room was modern, clean and cozy. Centrally located and since the town is very quiet at night, being so close to the road was not an issue.

I didn’t like the people above me making noise, like they were building furniture at 6:30 in the morning and then in the evening time till about 9:30.

Clean, pleasant. Communication with off-site staff by text worked well.

I thought the hot water was hot enough. My wife, who likes it much hotter than I do, was unimpressed.

Had to find other accommodations since we could not access room. State fair, popular concert

Worst experience ever had traveling. Only available if you had electronics with you and not told this before arriving. No answer on phone mtg unavailable sat in hot parking lot an hour waiting for resolution

    Price and clean room

There was no remote to control the air unit.Luckily it was on 68 which I like. But still would like to control the temp.

We really enjoyed both the staff and the tiny house! The staff was especially helpful in assisting our move to a tiny house. Would definitely stay again.

    No complaints.

Location was nice. I was a little shook when I pulled up and saw the scary movie vibe Motel sign! There were no cars there and it was cold, windy and cloudy! However, once I made it inside the spooky feeling left. The room looked to have been recently renovated to look like a cabin. Appliances were nice, especially the coffee maker. Plus the bathroom and shower were nice. Arlo, my dog really enjoyed checking everything out as well.

I guess I'm still old school so I would still like to have someone on site to check in with. But that wasn't too big of a deal. It was a little closer to the road than I would have liked but I still slept well and was really comfortable. I do wish that there was at least a smaller type recliner chair available though it would have been a little crowded.

Highly disappointed and sad that there are people like this in the world.

My boyfriend and I were frequent guests to ROTL for the last 3 years. We were staying in one of the regular motel rooms and wanted to rent the tiny house next door for Halloween weekend (my favorite holiday) We booked it through booking.com and paid for it and Chris lied and made up stuff that never happened and refused to let us stay and still til this day refuses to refund our money of $427.00. The fact that I’m terminally ill and probably my last Halloween was ruined and we didn’t get to do anything. We had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels. It didn’t make sense considering the tiny houses rarely get rented out.

Excellent location downtown with Ingles grocery in walking distance. Cute, comfortable room that was clean and had necessary amenities.

TV channel selection limited when looking for local channels and sports events.

    10RebeccaPosted on: 12-24-2025

    Extremely clean! Great location!

Had to google how to get the heat to work in the room.

    8McKennaPosted on: 12-22-2025

Very nice and quiet! Loved the tiny suite and how clean everything was

The passcode/ door didn’t work properly. Had to keep calling over and over again from different phones for someone to answer. Not too enjoyable when it’s super cold. We tried quite a few times to call today to make sure everything was good at check out but got no answers. Left cookies since we couldn’t get anyone to answer.

I think for the price the room was fine. We had used your motel before and were pleased. However this time there was mold on the shower curtain and the bedcover was not quite clean. Also we did not use the coffee maker as it didnt seem clean.Your facility suits our needs as I travel for South Georgia to visit my boyfriend on a monthly basis. Your prices and location help a lot.I am hoping my few complaints will be addressed as I hope to use your rooms again.

Inexpensive very convenient and the rooms look like cabins they’re really cute

The only thing we didn’t care for is that there’s no lobby to talk to the people
