The Quality Inn & Suites Mt. Chalet is located 15 minutes from the Chattooga River. This hotel features many full-service amenities, including a free continental breakfast, free coffee in the lobby, free newspaper and free local calls. All spacious guest rooms include refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards. In addition to standard features, some rooms have whirlpool bathtubs and fireplaces. Guests can enjoy the seasonal outdoor pool. Business travelers will appreciate competitive corporate rates. The hotel is located in the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains and is close to many exciting whitewater rafting and mountain activity destinations. Visitors can enjoy golfing, hiking, skiing, boating, fishing and horseback riding in the surrounding area. Several restaurants, cocktail lounges and specialty shops are located nearby. - It was the best mid-price option in the town in which it is located.
- Quietness, Clean, Staff kind to my needs.
- The hotel is in a good location. Though it is an older hotel, it has been updated in recent years.
Cons -
- The shower water was never more than lukewarm to cool. After letting it run for about 20 minutes to see whether it got better, I gave up. As others have noted, the breakfast was marginal and the coffee was awful.
- "Boiled eggs". Customers need more choices. P-butter, yogurt Yuk! Easy to prepare easy to fridge and U dont even have to peel them. Cookem by the 18 count in pkg, and date em...
- The bathroom could have been updated better. The morning breakfast offering was fairly slim.
