Westin Tampa Downtown Waterside

The location was great. It’s located in downtown Tampa with so many great restaurants next door and a Starbucks next to the hotel.

Out dated rooms. Provided two vouchers for breakfast and was told we could only use one.

Honestly the housekeeping woman with super nice the lady who I checked in with was extremely nice

Room quality was not what I expected it was very average I expected like a luxury hotel The mattress was uncomfortable I felt more comfortable at home completely which is usually not the case

The view or non view from the suite that we were upgraded to. The large TV and stand was placed in front of the only window in the bedroom. The "lounging room" was drab and set more for conferences - not comfortable at all. Very cave like rooms.

Valet parking was horrible!!!!!! Front desk at check in was the best, at check out was infuriating. :( Some bartenders were happy and great, while others, made it obvious they did NOT want to be there. The A/C in our room, not working.

We got some complimentary breakfast vouchers that were very useful for feeding my child every morning while we were there.

Staff were very generous and helpful

Clean

Construction. Chaotic. No one around to help. No warning about how difficult it is to get to hotel during NHL hockey game. No one answers phone.

Location, and proximity to other downtown areas. Beautiful Harborside location.

Room had hairs on the floor, glass tables had a film from the dirty cloth that had been used to clean them. Not what I would expect at a Westin. I was several doors down from the housekeeping enclave and the staff was yelling loudly at 7:30am.

Black water came out of our faucet in the bathroom. Did not trust it to brush your teeth or shower.

Quiet

Getting to the pool was creepy. I didn¿t go because it was ridiculous to get to it. The entire entrance and Lobby smelled like natural gas so incredibly bad.

The location was perfect for the waterfront and downtown things to do.

The air in our room was not working for the majority of the trip. Even after calling the front desk a few times throughout the trip, it was never fixed.

The towel rods fell off the wall and the cost of the valet was not ideal

Hotel is dated. It is not a 4 star by any means. Bedding was uncomfortable. No continental breakfast. Our toilet would not flush properly and on two occasions our room lock jammed. The pool is below average and there is no one working the pool bar.

I was double charged for my room and waiting to get my money back. Shame on them. When I checked in they said I see you pre-paid and they still charged me the next day.

I know that we are in a time of Covid - but thought price was very high considering the bar was closed, no food in hotel anywhere, had to order out if you wanted room service. Ice machine not working on our floor

Pool was small and looked terrible. Getting to the pool was an ordeal too. One elevator way in the back of the hotel.

Great front desk staff. Could not have been nicer! Especially ho tel employee, she went out of her way to be helpful. Great location. Spectacular views!

Mediocre pool. Construction was a level above the pool mid day and very obtrusive. They promised construction would not affect the pool experience. They were wrong. Also, the manager was a jerk. Not accommodating or polite. Learn from your staff!
