Hampton Inn & Suites Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch

A/C in hotel was not working well and in room struggled to maintain proper temperature. Early check in was very slow compared to most other hotels in the area, and staff seemed very undertrained or unhelpful finding solutions.

They should add and indoor pool and too pricey for Florida season

The bed/pillows were comfortable, breakfast choices were good, and gym was well equipped.

I was in room 212 and I noticed a lot of black mold stuck to the air vent.

Staff is pleasant, friendly, and professional. 2nd time there and will use it whenever I am needing a room in the area. Everything you need is nearby and access to roads elsewhere is perfect.

Comfortable room though mattress a little firmer than I prefer. Breakfast listed as continental, but was quite ample - very well stocked. Was given bottled water upon check-in, which was quite nice as the local water contains a good bit of sulfur.

The property was somewhat cumbersome to access. It is in the back of a large shopping center and requires some winding around to get there, but Hampton Inn has helpful directional signs within the shopping center. It is very near I-75 however.

The staff was great. Very friendly and accommodated to our needs when we needed it the most. I highly rate hotel employees for assisting us when we needed them the most. They deserve a raise!

Even though it was sold out, the room we received on arrival was not cleaned properly. The 1st night we were there was very congested and stuffy. My son is allergic and it was a rough night for us. hotel employee helped us out and moved us to a new room ASAP.

The room itself. Very nice. Clean and lots of space.

Pool was supposed to be heated. Was too cold for me, or anyone else. Nobody was using it, but waiting in line for the hot tub.

location was very busy but so many places nearby, very easy to find anything you may want very close

bed was not a normal Hampton bed, was actually pretty hard. not good for sleeping
