The American Inn Punta Gorda is off Interstate 75 and is less than 15 minutes’ drive from City Beach Park. All rooms offer free Wi-Fi as well as a microwave and refrigerator. Cable TV is included in each traditional room at this hotel as well as a personal work desk. The bedding features colorful patterns and wood furnishing. Guests will be able to enjoy the added convenience of a 24-hour reception desk. Vending machines and fax and photocopying facilities are also on site. - Great location and price. Extremely clean and comfortable bed. Staff were very kind and responsive. Obviously understaffed however, those on site did everything possible to keep us satisfied. We were impressed by what was a real effort to please.
- It is being remodeled from Hurricane Ian but was perfect. The staff was the BEST! The reminder call the day before was very much appreciated.

Cons -
- Toilet flush was LOUD! AC was noisey but worked well. Minor issues but affected our stay. Awning was under construction and office was circumspect. Having said that, I would stay again.
- Was wondering why the ice and coke machine was on the outside facing the road.
- When I arrived the hotel is run down with a blue tarp on the roof. Their website shows an amazing hotel and all I saw was a round down shack. I tried to get my money back and I have received to response back!!!
