Doubletree Gainesville

The front desk clerk was very nice and accommodating. We needed 2 rooms with adjoining doors and he made sure we got it. When we went down that night to the bar/seating area the manager changed the channel so we could watch the game we wanted to.

I had to put a $100 incidental hold for each room. The bottle water in the room was $3 per bottle if you weren't a member.

Gentleman at Front desk during Tuesday morning very impolite. Hanged up telephone 3 times before I had to walk to speak in person.

Old outdated not well maintained

The location, my son lives close by in the reason why I picked it in the first place, but a very disappointing experience.

The room had a horrible smell, but we were so exhausted and were just battled through it, my youngest got up at 3 in the morning and we all ended up on the floor because the sheets were humid wet and itchy couldn?t sleep at all!!

Right off the highway and even though we checked in after midnight the front desk girl was very friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Room was clean, had nice amenities, nice decor, and was modern.

Location

The room we were in wasn¿t Doubletree standard clean. There were white threads all over the carpet. The coffee station in the room wasn¿t stocked. Kcups were there but no packets w stir straw &sweeteners. And the creamers were SPOILED.

The bed was very comfortable, staff was very friendly

Shower did not work...took 2 days to get it fixed. False information that said there was an in house Starbucks, there was not. And no continental breakfast which I would expect for the rate.

No WiFi for my 3 day stay. I will never stay there again. Not able to work online.

carpet in room needed serious deepclean/repair or replacement

The girl that ran the bar at night was to worried about a long term guest/boyfriend and didn't care to much about other customers she spent all of her time with him.

The staff was wonderful

The shower floor had black stains as well as mold or mildew growth. The bathroom door had black scuff marks. I put a towel on the floor for when i got out of the shower and there were bugs crawling on it when i got out. The sheets had stains.

Leaving !! The lobby was the nicest part of the hotel.

Once past the lobby and restaurant the hotel is dingy and very outdated! I asked for a room away from the highway and the room given was right by the highway. It was loud! Room was warm, guy came up, only 2 degrees cooler in the early morning hours.

The staff was so unfriendly i was trying to book my stay day before my check in date and i went there and said they placed me for no show when in fact if I went there early for early check in they can¿t give me a room right away

Location! Right in between Celebration Pointe & UF.

Pillows...Our room could use some new pillows...Pillows felt like we were sleeping on sheets...

Friendly, helpful staff

Bartender tipped herself and charged it to my room so I wouldn't immediately see it when I ordered food. The breakfast served was nowhere near as good as I've gotten at other hotels and an additional charge.

Friendly staff

The room felt dirty. Shower had black spots on walls, carpet need cleaning, odor in the room when you first entered. Shampoo and soap were bulk use not individual packaged. And breakfast was extra! Was not happy for a 3.5 star hotel.
