Seabreeze Inn - Fort Walton

The staff was very nice and we loved the restaurant next door

The hotel smelled horrible, it was humid and uncomfortable, and I felt gross the entire time. I only stayed one of the two nights I booked, and I still haven’t received my deposit back.

This marketing shows a decent looking place when in reality it is next to a boat storage place and the smell of diesel and dead fish is constant. Not like you would want to go in the hot tub sized pool anyway but if you tried well good luck. The room itself was not cleaned, they try to charge for everything and they have the rudest front desk staff I have ever encountered. I honestly did not feel safe here - too many other issues to list- and left way early and happily lost money to get the heck out of there. Save yourself the trauma and don't stay here!!!

The room looked great when we arrived. I did not expect the amazing view we had, beautiful view of the bay! This wasn't expensive at all compared to other places we could've stayed. The TV is big enough to be able to see while resting at night. We did not go down to the restaurant next door (The Shack) because we were busy, but it was always packed and is right on the bay! They have a little board walk that had picnic tables on the water you could sit at. The pool looked clean, it is pretty small.

The bathroom doorknob in our room (312) did not work from the inside. If you shut the door all the way while using the restroom, you would be locked in if you were alone. Luckily, my partner was there and could let me out, but I had to yell and wake him up the first time it occurred.

I liked the location and the lobby was nice and clean and smelt really good

Our door didn’t close all the way. There were stains on our bedding and housekeeping we’re feeding a bunch of birds and they were crowding us in the pool waiting for more food and landing in the pool. Mattresses are also hard as concrete and we felt the springs in our backs. Also paid $50 more than our friends who used the same booking site and the same room and their room was way more updated than ours. The plugs in our room didn’t really work well. Very loose and our plugs wouldn’t stay in the wall.
