Breakaway Inn Guest House

Manager and Housekeeper were very friendly and helpful.the property was a great location and close to beach and shops and eateries. Room was well equipped when we decided to eat in we had everything necessary to prepare our own dinner. . I will return.

Although the room was cozy and clean, the bed was uncomfortable for me. It sagged causing a backache. Maybe it was time for a new bed.

The area cannot be beat. It is a very quick walk to the beach and to A1A. There are many things to do in the area. This place is the best deal for the money hands down. The kitchen helped save money from dining out and there were 2 grills outside.

Everything about this place was the best clean room nice court yard close to beach close to shops QUITE this was most important to me, Will stay here again if im ever back in fort Lauderdale Florida, highly recommend this place to stay.

I can say there was anything I didnt like

This was our 9th stay here, so I think it's safe to say we LOVE it!! The owner, Margaret, is truly the"hostess" with the "mostest"! She goes above and beyond making sure everything is perfect! You are treated like family here! They have two gas grills on property which are great for making dinner. There is plenty of seating on the grounds also! There is a Publix grocery store in walking distance! The beach is an easy 5-10 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Inn is about 30-40 minutes from the airport. We use UBER & don't bother renting a car since we are walkers, & the area is very walkable. The Inn is actually in Lauderdale by the Sea, (which is next to Ft. Lauderdale) what a great little town! We have another trip on the books!

We had an issue with the shower but it was dealt with promptly. Personally, I wish I could have accessed the pool earlier. I swim daily and as it didn’t open until 09.00, we would already be out and therefore missed swimming in the morning

Margaret and her husband were fantastic. Location is amazing so close to the beach And all the shops and restaurants. Chairs were available as were beach towels. You have everything you need for a short or a long-term stay . The landscaping is lovely and we enjoyed the cats . Beds were actually very comfortable. A wonderful value for a getaway trip to recharge our batteries

Proprietor Margaret was very kind, helpful and available with information relevant to the area and the stay.

My room was equipped with a compact kitchen featuring a stove, refrigerator, microwave, table, and chairs. This provided me with the convenience of dining both indoors and outdoors. Additionally, there were barbecue grills and tables available for outdoor use. Furthermore, a spacious terrace outside my door was equipped with a table, chairs, and loungers, offering a pleasant outdoor dining area. Chairs were also provided outside each door.

The window treatments could have been improved.

Great location, very walkable to restaurants! The owners live on property & are always so quick to respond to any need you may have!

Close to the beach, nice and clean room, helpful staff etc.

close distance to the beach and 24hr fishing pier, clean common areas and nice, clean pool. do not need a car, everything is accessible by walking (restaurants and grocery stores are 2 blocks away). rooms were clean and housekeeping was offered 3x weekly. Host was very friendly and helpful. they offered beach chairs, towels and other beach necessities.

Old building and would benefit from modernisation, air conditioning unit was noisy but needed.

Manager was super nice

I think the could do better on cleaning the property even though it’s older. I turned on ceilings fan and it scattered dirt and dust everywhere. Mostly on my bed. Clean your blades on the ceiling fans. This one was filthy.

I liked like the location of the property.

The room was ok. The owner seemed upset when i requested clean linnings. Stated that linnings are changed after 7 days.

It was an absolute delight to stay in Breakaway Inn. Margaret was a fantastic host answering all possible questions and trying to meet all our needs. She even gave her yoga mat to my husband who needed it for exercises. The property itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable, in a walking proximity to the ocean. The beds, the parking, the kitchenette, the pool are all great as well.

It was all great, one minor thing- the air conditioner was a bit too loud.

Good location across from playground. Short walking distance to restaurants. Three blocks to beach.

Toilet paper was single ply. Dish soap watered down. No scrub pad for pans. Full size bed for couple. Pool cold. Has heater but wouldn't turn on. Pool only gets a couple hours of sun. Grill is old, dirty and rusty.

Such a lovely place. Spotlessly clean and well equipped apartment. Equipped enough to cook some meals in, as there is a full sized oven. The shower was also great, really good water pressure. We even had a kettle albeit stove top but it was the first kettle we’d come across on our USA road trip. The owner was lovely, and lives on site and couldn’t be more helpful. The washer and dryer for guests to use was great and means I’m going back to the UK with all clean clothes! The pool area and gardens are lovely. Lauderdale by the sea itself is fantastic, and we are definitely going to come again and stay back at the breakaway guest house as it’s in a perfect location. Highly recommend this place.

Host nice and informative. Love the cats on premises. Quiet and peaceful. That what I needed. I will be back.

Perfect location great staff nice rooms price is reasonable. Misha the car is extremely friendly.

Shower curtain felt like it was going to fall off the wall.

The cleanliness was amazing. Felt very comfortable. Location was great and Margaret was very hospitable. Would go back there for sure ?
