Tru by Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Downtown

Staff very friendly..

The price was too high. Seemed out dated had a stuffy smell.

Awesome stay. Incredible operation of staff; kitchen, cleaning, front desk staff teams!

Would love a free shuttle to and from airport and to Los Olas

We were told we would have a room overlooking the pool, but did not.

This hotel is surrounded by homeless. Did not feel safe. Hotel is one step above Motel 6. Overinflated price for the quality or lack thereof. Paid p $30 for parking on top of $--- for room. Would not recommend this property to anyone

The staff was very comforting and helped us to check in quickly.

The neighborhood has a large homeless population nearby. For $--- night I think the area should be cleaner or the prices reduced.

The amenities of the hotel are pleasant compared to its star level (pool, good continental breakfast, modern styling rooms).

High prices (at least during spring break), location at the end of downtown with partially not nice areas around.

Hotel is reliable and dependable....rooms are well appointed for the hotel class, although on the small side (cozy). Decent free breakfast.

It was a newer hotel so everything looked nice. Due to a 5 hour flight delay we got to the hotel at 2am but they still had 2 very friendly employees checking us in.

Clean

They didn't tell us about the $75 pet fee until hours after we checked in. The front desk staff member who checked us in saw our dog. She tried to pet it. Should have told us about the fee then.

Location, great breakfast, staff , cleanliness. Flight cancelled¿2 reservations in on week. Thumbs up!

Service and hotel amenities were excellent

Surrounding community is filled with homeless people and homeless are constantly sneaking by front desk and harassing guests and taking food.

The room was fairly new and the layout was decent, and that's where it ends.

Stayed 3 nights, 2 0f 3 elevators broken with no signs after 2 days. I waited 20 minutesfor one! Had an issue with my TV and waited 2.5 hrs after speaking to the GM who never called back! Took 3 days to clean my room! Wet seating in front during checkout.

Room was not as clean as I expect. Hair in the bathroom sink and in the shower. Parking garage was full so forced to park in an unsafe city lot across the street.

Location and price

Parking situation. I got a $40 parking ticket in the Tru Hotel parking lot. Fee is ridiculous

Bathroom could have been cleaned better. Parking is terrible spaces are very small. Sometimes no spaces at all.

They were In a centered location. With a car I was able to get to anywhere I needed to in about 20 min or less by car. If you are in need of a bus there is a bus station about a 10 min walking . The breakfast was fresh . They changed it rapidly .

In the shower where I went to put my razor. There was hair stubble left. But I have to say I visted someone nearby staying in --- dollar a room hotel. I was shocked at the cleanliness of tru verses that one!

Nothing at all

There was no closets. The room was very small and the service was horrible. They charge you for parking in the garage and it only had about 30 spaces total. I will never go there again.
