Rolo Beach Hotel

Clean and modern. I’ll stay here every time I go to FLL.

Excellent stay at Rolo Beach Hotel in Fort Lauderdale! We wanted a comfortable hotel near the beach and restaurants. We found the Rolo hotel and did a quick in-person check of the facility and got a tour of a room. It's a boutique hotel and the room they had available was a junior suite in the updated building (their building next door isn't updated as much so I would definitely pick the main updated building. My wife was surprised at how spacious it was, the layout and conveniences of a full mini kitchen. Everything looked brand new and very clean. The cost was only ~$30 more than a standard king so we took it for one night to keep our options open. After we settled in we almost immediately decided to extend out stay there for two more nights - great move!They also have a nice little pool area where we hung out a couple times. The location is great too. We were just a couple blocks from the beach action and a number of restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate area. There are fantastic dining options in this location including the Wine Garden (such a cool vibe, live music and good food - a true hidden gem), the Village Cafe (excellent food and atmosphere).We would stay at the Rolo Beach Hotel again without hesitation.

New building was run down, smelt musty, toilet paper holder falling off wall

We enjoyed the Ping-pong table and sitting on the shared balcony in the morning. Nice to have a few coffee capsules ready for use.

The building is a bit dated and not soundproof (we had to use earplugs to cope with the crying baby next door). The kitchen was OK but lacked proper drinking glasses.

Wonderful experience, great value. Nice renovation of the room which is well equipped.

Parking is an extra $10 but not unreasonable

Clean, location and staff

Walls paper thin. Had to have curtains drawn at all times due to people walking to office and pool. If open could see right into room. Grocery store not close. Restaurants about 3-4 blocks away. Limited number of restaurants.

Lockbox for key retrieval worked great.

I was on a plane most of the arrival day, arriving after 5 pm and would have liked to have received lockbox instructions the day before.

The location and the fact that the room contains a full kitchen. The swimming pool is lovely.

The fact that the new section of the property does not have any rooms with a full kitchen- sometimes you need more than a microwave.

A little too far for walking to beach

The room smelled like mold. It was VERY strong smell. I left there with a sinus infection because of the moldy smell that permitted the air

Rolo Beach Hotel was an unexpected gym. It was tucked in this little area of cute boutiques and cafes all within about 4 blocks to the beach, which was gorgeous! We had everything we needed, the rooms were huge! The only improvement that could be made was replacing the mattress on the pull out couch as it was a bit sunken in and worn. Otherwise, this was a great stay!

The staff is so friendly, rooms are very big and so nice! The pool is also always very nice and clean

No breakfast, no frills but a real bargain. Minutes to the beach! Open the door to your room, take about 30 steps and your car is right out front, no walking thru parking lots! Very clean, plenty of hot water, comfortable bed, etc Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, safe.No couch but card table with two chairs in my room. The receptionist was great!

For the money I can’t think of anything!

Very laid back and quiet area away from the main Highway along the beach that’s not far away.

I noticed when I filled the bathroom sink with water it was brown colored. I don’t know if this is that way all the time but there was construction going on not far away, possibly water main work or something. I would hope Rolo Beach Hotel management would look into this and at least let the guest know.

The sofa bed was not comfortable with a spring cushion, and I could not sleep.

Nice, upgraded facilities, great location, great staff.

Everything was great, except that my room is near an outdoor seating area where 20-somethings would gather every night around 1:30-2:30 am and have loud discussions, waking me up. Was negatively surprised when room rate went way up when I extended my stay by two nights.

The bed mattress lying on the floor. My wife developed a sinus infection from this. If you are walked on the floor, yaour socks really got dirty. Mold on the back of the building

The location is excellent to walk to the beach. We stayed with our pet. There is an extra pet fee and parking fee.

The prices range dramatically fromNight to night.

Very clean. Staff was attentive and helpful. Room was very well setup and clean. It was a suite generally and well equipped. Access and parking are so easy. This place has great pride for a small classic. I really admired what I was offered.
