Plantation Resort on Crystal River

There is nothing that was best about this hotel.

Filthy room, black mold, torn curtains, stained mattress pad, strong mold smell throughout the hallways, wet paint where they were covering up the mold. NO AMMENITIES. The pool was closed and looked septic. Misleading website.No offer for new room.

No phone charger by bed just on tv. Toilets too low for old people no comfortable chairs

Extra amenities that we were not expecting outside such as shuffle board, chess, checkers, connect four, sand volleyball, and crochet.

Hot tub broke, floors and tub dirty, light broke, battery in remote dead, mold all over windows and tub and bathroom ceiling. Nasty . Were supposed to have a room with patio. Gave us a second story. There was no door to get out.

Location was good.

The pool and restaurant were closed and there was construction everywhere. Also the design of the hallway created lots of noise. The ad did not reflect pool, restaurant and construction issues.

We loved the location.The atmosphere was perfect. It was a beautiful place.The restaurant was great.The food was good. My husband especially liked the Tiki Bar. The pool was great. We loved this hotel. We will definitely go back sometime! Squirrels!

They were short staffed in housekeeping. We had to ask for towels several times and we didn't get them for hours. But, we understood. We also asked for a roll out bed, and we never got one. My son had to go to Walmart and buy an air mattress.

Not as clean as I would have expected at this type of resort. The pool was closed for the entirety of our stay. Was not a real concern for us, that was not the main focus of out visit.

Layout, River view, good food and friendly staff.

Location was great. Pool and dive center was great.

Mildew in bathroom grout. Our room had a regular heat/ac system. Our son¿s room had a space heater. You don¿t expect space heaters when charging this much for rooms and resort fees.

The fountain out front

Was given a room (#170) with 2 small beds facing the parking lot. When booked with you, we were told we would have a room facing the water or the gardens. Walls are paper thin so we could hear everything around us and above us. Will not stay here again.

Location was very convenient and on site amenities were excellent

small detail - shower curtain was too short and left a 6 inch gap to floor. Every time we showered the floor got soaked

The location was perfect. Close to everything - beach, restaurants, shopping, water sports & just blocks away from he quaint downtown Crystal River. Also, plenty to do on-site if you didnt want to drive anywhere. We will definitely go back.

No, it was as nice as we expected & the views of the water are beautiful. It's an older building that could use more updating but the fact some updates weren't contributes to the charm.

The location was great. The main building and grounds were very nice.

Price was high for the level of accommodations. $25 grounds charge??? They tried to charge us for coffee in the morning (big pet peeve of mine). We felt our wing of the resort was rundown, stairwells were filthy and the hallway was sanitorium-like.

I did not like stated check in 3 pm and they told me it was 4 pm . And then when 4 pm arrived they still weren¿t able to check me in . Room wasn¿t renovated like stated , no microwave like stated , showers water controls didn¿t work , stained bed sheets

The convince to locations as super. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very beautiful.

It was clean but very dated. Pool needed to be cleaned. It was very cloudy and bugs daily.

Would not stay there again. There was something disgusting on the wall in the room. Hallways were dirty and gross. Outside restaurant was open according to front desk but waited for over 10 minutes and nothing only the drunks were getting service.
