Courtyard by Marriott Fairfax Fair Oaks

The employee who checked us in barely spoke with us and took twenty minutes to get us a room.

Very clean and no smell at all. Enjoyed the stay here.

I did not like the additional parking fees charged when there was enough parking spots available anyways. Breakfast could have been included.

Location, Cleanliness, Paulina was very helpful with dinner options & ice machine needs. Very Pleasant Staff all the way around Get overnight stat

Only ice machine working was on the first floor. I stayed on the 3rd

When checking out. The front desk assistant,added reward points for my inconvenience.

The television went out and no update was given. The curtain was off the hook , so when I closed them. There was a gap. The iron holder fell off the wall.

The staff was super friendly and the indoor pool was amazing. Kept my son busy for hours.

Price of snack at market. $8 for a bag of chips and some Reese peanut butter cups. That?s extremely overboard.

There is no hot water or water pressure

I stayed here to be able to clean my clothes and take a shower..The water was shut off. I cannot clean my clothes or take a shower...this has put me in a horrible situation..

Look elsewhere. Wrong room key, charged twice, broken toilet. The GM, was kind enough to add points to my Bonvoy account but really can't excuse this for a Marriott. And that extra $150- still held up on my card. Not good when traveling, to say the least.

It was the best compromise we found with regard to price (for a five night stay) and proximity to Metro and Washington, D.C. where we had planned to do the tourist thing. I wanted free parking, an indoor pool, and free breakfast. (Warning: bfast not free)

Over 5-night stay, we never got housekeeping (even though we asked at the front desk). First room: a/c broken. Second night, fire alarms went off. Toiletries terrible, and we had to buy soap/shampoo. Pillows/bedding: uncomfortable. Weird round couch.

While it is an older hotel, it was well maintained.

There was no electrical receptacle in the toilet shower area. One day, Hotels will recognize, which every aviator has known for more than 75 years, a red light allows one to navigate in the dark without losing your night vision and sleep return mode.

No pets allowed.

No information packet in room.had to ask about wifi and food.cleaning lady knocking on the door at 9am lack of employee communication on empty rooms.all afternoon there were 2 cars blocking the unloading area at front.poor signage sight from road.

Check in staff was not friendly. I did not get breakfast and coffee was not included.

Cleanliness and room size were great!

Pool was closed "until further notice," and no microwave in the room. There was also no breakfast.

Close to where I needed to be for the next day

Our room was surrounded by rooms occupied by teenagers. They were constantly running up and down the hall and going into different rooms slamming doors. Tried calling front desk, no answer. Suggest placing room blocks like that away from others.

The location was good. The hotel was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet.

The front desk was not friendliest. She was not rude, just not welcoming.

Nice staff, decent location

Room seemed outdated for a Marriott. Pool was not working.

So clean and spacious. Could of used a microwave in the room and HD tv but really nice and good price.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was courteous.

TV was a bit disappointing as lots of SD rather than HD and it was small. Some updates with ceiling (popcorn) and bathroom could be done. Also, room key was hard to use to open room door.

Receptionist was very kind, room was very clean and well laid out. Heating and cooling worked well. Nice attention to detail.

Would have loved a microwave and the walls are a little thin. Might be hard getting in and out of the parking lot during rush hour.

Staff is friendly

I parked my truck at the parking lot of the hotel. Criminal drilled hole under the fuel tank of the truck. I will cost me $2,300+ to repair!
