Pros +
- Location
- The location on the very brink of the ocean was special for Southern California. And having the long, empty beach all to ourselves was amazing!
- The location is fabulous-right on the ocean with a long, walkable beach just a short walk away. Although we had to wait a while for service at the restaurant for dinner, sitting on the patio overlooking the ocean was delightful and the food was excellent.
Cons -
- No working phone to call front desk. Internet code not given in writing and couldn’t call. Beds VERRRRRRRY uncomfortable in 2 bedroom room.
- The free breakfast was truly weak. It was weak enough to put a negative on an otherwise A+ experience.
- The seagull :)

We liked the location, the pool and the dinner and breakfast at the terrace!

By the ocean location
Aside from the location, there is not much here.
Friendly staff, the location, right on the ocean shore is memorable with sounds and sights of the waves. We could see dolphins swimming around multiple times in the nearby bay.
As the property has a direct exit on 101 coming from the North only, it is difficult to approach it coming from the South. The breakfast was not American, but more like a snack.
Location, coziness, and calm with old school peace and charm
Location and view were great. The staff was very nice and helpful duing check in. I would definitely come back to this location. Thanks for a great stay.
The location and view were great. I wish the breakfast had a few more options, especially protein. I went to breakfast around 8:30, and many of the options (like fruit) were already gone. Overall, the location and facility were excellent—this was my only complaint.
Clean and great location. Great parking
Unable to communicate with hotel before arrival. Needed to tell them and have them confirm a late check in. Tried by phone twice and once via text but never received confirmation.
Proximity to the water (the view and the sound of the ocean).
Water pressure in the shower and sink (very, very low). Took a long time for water to warm up.
The view, the two bedroom room that accomodated, my mom, two 12 year old boys and myself, the comfy beds, and all the great spots around the property to sit and watch the ocean! Our dinner was fabulous! We had Ciopino and the scallop risotto! The server and the kitchen also substituted some sides for my son's filet! Such a special place! I wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be back
My only complaint was it's a bit loud early in the morning... I could have closed the windows but the smell and sound of the ocean was worth the noise.
Friendly staff, fabulous location and view. We enjoyed a tasty lunch and the continental breakfast was decent.
Room 2 - The mirror frame above the sink was damaged and needs replacing and the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.
The hotel is right on the beach. You can't get any closer or you'll be in the water. It's settling into a cove along the 101 and you immediately feel like you're miles away.
Nothing. I loved all of it.
Nice yard near pool overlooking the water. Nice to have breakfast by the pool.
Close to highway-could hear traffic. Difficulty getting invoice for expenses. Requested fan due to medical issue-was given a dirty fan.
You can’t beet the Location for having an ocean front experience.
Lack of proper maintenance and repair. I understand the additional maintenance needed when fighting salt and a marine environment but that additional maintenance needs to happen.
The food and service at the restaurant was fantastic. The views are amazing!
The hotel front desk and staff needs attention. I would suggest keeping the door to the back office disaster closed. Also, front desk is the first thing you see. Nobody at Check-in at 3p.m. Hotel bathrooms definitely need attention. The property is a bit worn. I believe their needs to be more of a separation between restaurant guests and hotel guests. Restaurant guests are allowed to utilize the lounge chairs at the pool after eating. Which leaves little room for paying hotel guests. Especially on the weekends. Decaf coffee would be appreciated at the continental breakfast.
Location and restaurant
Walls are thin. Heard neighbors talking off and on all night. I tried to get a bottle of water but they had none.
The location is super close to the ocean. The room had excellent view and was specious and comfortable.
Restaurant was closed on Monday, other food places are far away. The sink was in the bedroom instead of bathroom and was a bit uncomfortable.
