Hyland Inn Van Nuys

It was gated so it felt abit more secure in that neighborhood. However we were concerned anb leaving our car in an open carport/lot.

The towels and bedsheets were filthy and stained from other guests use. Disgusting. Everything else in the room seemed adequate.

Location was great

Check out time says 11:00 am when booked once checked in I was told check out time was 10:30

Price, clean, and safe.

TV didn't work then the heater didn't work. Stairs were dangerous to climb.

The cleanliness, location and helpful front desk person was my favorite part of the stay. Some of the room furnishing were very old and worn. Bed was very comfortable.

The extreme security layout of one way gates with only one gate allowing entry is probably a necessity given the nieghborhood. So although most guests will appreciate the safety, it wasn't the most welcoming of course.

John @ the front desk is wonderful. The room was really clean, & sharp looking. Had wooden floors, microwave & a frig. Thanks John, & hotel service people!

Clean and quiet. Good tv/cable.

They have an outside smoking area and for the pets where you can relax and get some air

I liked everything about this hotel and the staff were very friendly the location was perfect by all the stores parking is free the rooms are so nice and clean

The room was nice if it didn't have Nats

The room had Nats in bathroom and some flew into the room. Called front desk ten times no answer and walked up to front in the rain and nobody there. Very bad experience

Manager was gracious in loaning his personal iron for use in lieu of the hotel one being stolen.

Smelled fresh when you walked in but Smells and looks can be very deceiving

 the owner is very hostile unprofessional unkind mean rude yells and at everybody Do not rent there at all huge fat zero the size of jupiter you are fired john!!! To the owner from a customer¿¿

Near the 405.

Very basic room with the most bizarre amenities. A small safe, fridge, and microwave were there but no hair dryer, towel hooks, or paper towel holder. I'm not picky about where I stay usually but for this price I wish I had gone somewhere else.

Location was great.

Towels were very old. No coffee in the room. Mircowave was very old. Bed was ok.

Perfect location, everything you might need is within distance!!! The manager was great. He made us feel safe. It is a gated yard which by the way is clean n full of color. Handicap friendly

Nothing I got to the place they said that they had no vacancy. They told me that I was able to cancel the reservation when I facts i wasn¿t. I basically threw money on the trash.

Bring your own towels washcloths pillows. If you can bring your own sheets and blankets. I was given a towel with a poop clump on it. I returned it and got a new one. Through the laundry area door I was able to see them put the dirty towel back w/ clean1s

My girlfriend got locked inside the bathroom due to a broken handle. Then, I find a cockroach crawling on my 7 month old son. On top of that I had to wait an hour- hour and a half in order to speak with a representative about my issues.

The last minute availability and there was available parking for both of our cars. The lady at the front desk was really nice but no one else was as nice only her.

The location, the AC didn't work, no shower curtain and the furniture was dirty

When I checked in the office asked for credit card and PIN number because customers do not have access to key pad late at night. I was furious. I would give her PIN number and said that all customers give her PIN number. I would guess the stupid ones.
