SureStay Hotel by Best Western Tehachapi

Pros +

• The bed was fairly comfortable
• Close proximity
• Most comfortable pillows and bed, excellent complimentary breakfast, friendly staff, great air conditioning, room and bathroom were spacious

Cons -

• The floors were cold. I wish I knew there wouldn't be carpet, I would've brought slippers, but I've never been in a hotel without carpet, so I didn't know. It said we should have a coffee/tea maker in the room, but we didn't. At breakfast, the first day, there was no hot water for tea or cocoa. All the creamers are fake/non-dairy options. There was no half-and-half or cream. The only whole, real food was eggs and sausage, but they were usually cold. The yogurt wasn't even real. Spiders in the room. Could hear everything the room next door said or did. They had a dog, who wasn't noisy, but we could hear the dog walking around, the clicking of its claws, even with the TV on.We needed 2 key cards, but the receptionist could only make one work at a time. On the last day, a different receptionist was working and finally was able to make two cards that actually worked at the same time. We reserved the room with one credit card, but gave them a different one to use at check-in. They ended up charging the wrong card. I believe the same receptionist who couldn't make two key cards work at the same time, probably charged the wrong card too. She probably needs better or more training.Great location. The hot tub was hot, that's always nice. Even though they allow pets, it's not very pretty friendly as there is no where to take your dog potty. It's just a parking lot with islands with light posts, some bushes and wood chips.
• Very dirty. Didn't vacuum. Mirrors all dirty. Hair on bed. Didn't change sheets?
• I requested a downstairs room with a king size bed, two months ago. And I was stuck with a queen size bed and they said it was booking.com fault
