Less than 4 blocks from the ski Gondola at Heavenly. All rooms at the hotel have an upscale style and generous amenities. They feature free cable on flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations and a coffee maker. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and throughout the hotel. Guests of the Avalon Lounge can enjoy comfortable fireside seating in the lobby. The hotel is 6 miles from Zephyr Cove Beach and 5 miles from the Lake Tahoe Airport. Emerald Bay State Park is 16 miles away.

- Parking was available right outside the room. The room was warm, feels nice during winter. You get a warm to hot shower. Amenities available include coffee maker, fridge, microwave inside with TV & cable.
- Rooms have been updated.
- Only redeeming quality of hotel was location. It was was close to airport
Cons -
- It smelled like cigarette smoke. The pillows were flat. You can hear some thumpers at the room above. The shampoo/soap dispenser was nearly empty--bring your own!
- Subfloor needs to be replaced in upstairs rooms - many soft spots. Breakfast is very minimal.
- Hotel and grounds were very dirty. There was literally trash all over grounds. Full trash bags under stairs. Old furniture stacked outside of rooms. Stained bathtub Smoke alarm disconnected. Door peep hole stuffed with toilet paper Furniture broken
