Ayres Hotel Seal Beach

Although near to the 405 freeway, there was no noticeable traffic noise. The breakfast selection was above average and placed in a convenient time slot. Be in-house washer dryer also came in handy.

Bathroom could use a more up dated shower head (one that you could adjust the spray pattern). It was very difficult to position the shower head for a person who was over 6' tall.

It was quiet.

The carpet and drapes look like they should of been in a casino. We could not close drapes all the way they were stuck, so light was in room all night. When front desk was told she say being a desk person everything works.

I felt secure. The room was beautiful, bed was comfortable. No noise complaints. There was a nice selection for breakfast.

There were (2) issues. The water drainage in the bathroom sink and the shower was the worst. While trying to bathe, I was standing in 2 in of dirty water the entire time. I have to say it was rather gross.

It was a ?quiet? location close enough to Disney and Knotts Berry Farm but not so close that you have all the noise from the parks.

Well - the blackout curtains are not true blackout curtains. The room got hot and stuffy in the middle of the night despite the ac being on.

Cleanliness

Our AC was not operating, the room was very hot and uncomfortable.

Large clean rooms with overhead lighting. The free breakfast offered a variety of options.

Everything was as expected.

Location and cleanliness

My room was right next to the exit door which was quite load each time it sort of slammed shut. so we heard people leaving all morning while trying to rest.

Staff was rude, hotel could have been cleaner. The cook during the breakfast was rude. We got to omelet station 5 minutes before stopping that specific service and when the cook was asked to make omelets he turned around looked us up and down and said No!

Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice, bright ceiling lights.

Fitness facility could be better. Digital clock light was too bright. Placed a towel over it.

The French Provincial decor didn¿t make you feel that you were at a hotel. The fireplace was lit as we entered was charming. Breakfast was more than I expected and the staff was accommodating and nice. They had smiles and conversed easily with us.

Front desk was a gentleman who checked us in. He was really service minded, accommodating, and helpful. Very welcoming.

Pool is being redone. You should say that on the local website. You should tell people online that the pool is closed. Also, our room 138 was directly in front of the pool and early Sunday morning they started working in the pool waking us up.

The staff was amazing. Kasia in particular was wonderful. Great recommendations for meals and very personable. The Best.

The workout area, and the breakfast was good.

At $-- I should have had a balcony! Plus, there was a $100 deposit / hold from my bank card which haven¿t been put back as of yet. It won¿t happen again!!!

Staff was helpful and friendly. Free parking helped. Free internet access helped.

Internet service was not that great.

In the room, the dividing wall with plantation shutters. It felt like a bad motel 6.

Pool and Jacuzzi are always nice, and the breakfast and chef were great !

Been a guest often here, and we asked for a room on the other side of the freeway, and the clerk, said it would cost alot more than what we paid, like we were some low-lifes off the streets! Hotel clerk -- he was very rude !

Very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Guy working the night shift gave us options on which floor we wanted our room. We always choose the top floor. It was nice of him to give us that option

Just happy to find a hotel during Covid. You handled the pandemic well. Excellent breakfast, especially the bacon.

Television: couldn’t access the channels easily. Awkward. We took a pix of the channels listing on our phone
