Convenient location close to ferry and busses as well as many good restaurants nearby. Bed was fairly comfortable and continental breakfast was decent.

Terrible shower. It was nearly impossible to get the right temperature. No refrigerator or ice machine. Ongoing construction that started as early as 7:30 AM. Staff was indifferent to our concerns and no one asked us how our stay was upon check out.

Did not have smart TV access even though the TV had the capability, it was disabled. I was able to use my airplay so it worked out.

The location of the property was good. It is about a block away from the water.

Our room was located in the lower level next to the maid’s work room. We were awakened early each morning with noise from the work room. The room had a view of an unkempt garden area and the backyard of the adjoining house.

The location of the property is perfect and in the heart of Sausalito. Restaurants, shopping and sight seeing were all just a few steps away. The staff there, Zach and Matt were very helpful and had amazing recommendations for local restaurants to visit.

The inn itself is lovely, perfectly located close to shops and eateries. Our room could not have been more comfortable: high ceilings, good lighting, immaculate. The staff had great suggestions for nearby restaurants. The icing on the cake was how graciously they accommodated my fiber arts instructor and two of us students for a workshop in their lobby. Onsite parking for a small fee is a lucky extra.

Beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. Everything one could need. Coffee making facilities, a kettle was provided on request together with nice wine glasses, ice for the ice bucket provided.Ample parking which was good value for money considering how difficult it is to park in the town.Very friendly hosting staff. Nothing was too much trouble.Lovely views over the bay from well ventilated rooms. Stylish decour, sofas, tables etc with fresh flowers in vases, dinning table and back up supplies of tea, coffee water, cutlery etc in beautifully appointed reception room/ common lounge.

Darling inn located perfectly for walking everywhere. Plenty of space in room & bathroom - and the balcony was a bonus with views of the bay. The staff was engaging and took time to find out what we were interested in doing, and made specific recommendations for dinner, breakfast, etc. - we took all suggestions and had great meals!

The parking is very tight and challenging.

Gables on location was perfect! Sausalito is a wonderful city! Very accessible to San Francisco and Napa!

Needs a little TLC. A little paint goes a long way.

Nice decor. Beautiful view!! Lovely bathroom and wonderful porch. Incredibly bright and cheerful space!

Location was ideal! Very clean and bed was very successful.

Would have liked to have central fan. The fan we had was really loud and could have used a fan in the bathroom.

Loved the coffee and water available to us 24/7.Also loved the quiet and privacy of our room. Location was PERFECT!

Carpet should be replaced. Table in the room would be nice.

Lovely and charming, The Gables is a terrific place to stay in Sausalito. We were upgraded to rooms on the top floor that were really spacious with a view to the water. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom, with bath/shower combo was great. The room is up a flight of stairs from the lobby and has no A/C. We used a fan and the open windows at night and slept extremely well. (Also, our dinner at Scoma’s was outstanding, as was breakfast at Sausalito Bakery & Cafe - both a short walk from the hotel.)

Excellent location. Short walk to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. Fairly quiet. Individual, unique rooms. (We booked two) gas fireplace was a nice touch. Parking on site (for a fee).

It could’ve been a really superior experience with a few adjustments. The bathroom smelled like chlorine, although it faded away during the stay. It was disappointing that the advertised bathtub jets did not work because that was one of the reasons I chose that room. The bed was comfortable, but pillows were lumpy/poor quality. My husband and I both wound up using our coats as pillows instead. It would’ve been helpful to have some bottled water in the room to use for the Keurig coffee maker that needed water.

Perfect location and lovely big room. Staff were very friendly! Great place for a couple on vacation.

I would have expected parking to be included with the cost of the room. Was a bit pricey.
