Located less than 5 minutes’ walk from the beach, this hotel is less than 10 minutes’ walk from Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and 10 minutes’ drive from University of California -Santa Cruz. - Budget friendly, location near beach.
- Nice soft mattress and lots of pillows
- Close to the Santa Cruz Pier and Beach Boardwalk. Very easy walking distance. One block away...
Cons -
- It seemed ?clean?, but the overwhelming chemical fragrance was overwhelming and the room triggered my allergy responses. The fragrance did not dissipate and it made falling asleep very difficult. Behind board on floor very dirty. Never again! Gross.
- They charged me $100 deposit twice on accident instead of once and they kept my deposit for a week after I checked out that is ridiculous!
- Crazy angled parking. One way in & one way out barely wide enough for one car (Old School Hotel). The stairs (not all uniformed heights). Crazy step downs into the room that you never get used to. My rooms floor was awful dirty! Bedside lighting a mess!
