Olive Tree Inn & Suites, a Howard Johnson by Wyndham

Toilet was clogged and the problem could not be resolved. We wanted a refund. We paid cash for the third night. We were given the option of moving to another room or a refund. That was a total bummer because we got the third day so we could rest and relax without having to get things together to check out. But we had to move into the other room by 11 anyways. Now on the first night we got there about nine pm. There was no one in the office and no one would answer the phone number that was posted. We had no idea what to do. Fortunately a patron who already had a room drove in and parked. I walked over and asked him about it and his first comment to say that he doesn't know how they could run a business the way they were doing. He proceeded to tell me that the hotel across the street was run by the same people and that I would find someone there. The street to cross was also the on ramp to the 101 south to Pismo Beach. It was a dangerous back and forth crossing for a disabled senior citizen to cross. I found a woman there who curtly said she would be right there. So after close to a half hour and one round trip street crossing we were checked in without so much as an apology. From then on to reach someone for any assistance we had to call the number and wait until they were finished with what they were doing to be helped. Very very bad experience. I have never been in a hotel so bad and I hope never to be.

Need to replace carpets a little dirty with stains and one bed was definitely not up to par. Small tv.

Unable to answer

No one was at the front desk at 4:50pm to check us in. Called for an hour and phone was never answered. Was not able to check in and had to book a different hotel

Spacious room. Comfortable bed but with low quality sheets.

There was nobody at the front desk at 5.15pm, and the door was locked. Nobody answered the phone number posted on the door. I didn’t get into my room until after 8pm. The receptionist was rude when I told her about my experience.
